@hh1 my last diabetic nurse did not have a clue about diabetes. I did tell her never to advise me on anything diabetes related. She did say to me that since I have been on the pump I haven't ordered a repeat on my Tresiba! She did think that I needed background insulin while pumping......from a GP diabetic nurse was almost farcical
Our diabetes nurse invited me to a review at the surgery a couple of years back, I mentioned that I use the hospital clinic for my T1 treatment but she said to come anyway, before greeting me on arrival to tell me she didn't know why I'd been sent for as it was a T2 clinic, I got a blood and urine test out of it and I get a snotty letter from the practice each year now telling me I've not had my review even though I go twice yearly to the hospital diabetes centre.
