Rip it off. And try again.
My whole abdomen is sick of infusion sets. Everywhere I place them they hurt or bleed of become painful or stop working. my abdomen needs a break. At lunch time I did something bad and just tore the stickier off and went for a walk. I was ready for a change.
I did replace it when I got back to work from the walk.
Here’s a question- how close can I plant and infusion set in the back of my arm to a cgm sensor?
sometimes when we do any kind of exercise are bloods rise ,but they drop back down pretty quick .
Hello,
How is everyone? I’m not too moody, only moody when it comes to sensor and infusion set changes. The needle is pretty long and thick, not as thick as back in the day, but enough for it to not feel like a scratch. Rocking the bleeding sensor and all.
Friday tomorrow, yay!
It’s my mum’s birthday soon so I personalised a card for her, pretty disappointed that moon pig didn’t recognise my Chinese characters so my mum is going to receive a card with English in it. But I added a very sad face to the back of the card, so when she closes the card, she can see my sad face. XD
Diabetes is weird like that isn't it @Marie 2This huge spike at 7 pm??? I decided to take a hot shower. I started out at 4.2 (76) and figured I would love a hot shower and have to wash my hair, how bad could I get? 30 minute later.........13.0 (234) is how bad. No food involved for several hours prior. Others drop. I spike.
I take cooler showers and this reminds me why. I felt like bunk after.

I’ve woken up at 6.3 but during the night I was at 15 after going to bed at a decent level. I think I need to up my bolus only slightly, It’s been 3/4 weeks now since diagnosis and the nurse said that we might need to change this over timeDiabetes is weird like that isn't it @Marie 2
Case in point, no badge for me today, woke to 12.6 What's that all about? No doubt liver will throw in a few more bits of glucose so I'll be as high as a kite in a couple of hours.
Anyway, enough moaning from me, morning all. It's Friday and it might not rain.

My only assisted hypo happened after spending a couple of hours using a new lawnmower. On finishing, I was about BG 12, so administered a correction dose then walked 10 min to the local shops. Big mistake - I crashed faster than I have ever experienced before or since (knew I was going hypo but blacked out before I could eat anything). Short answer is that slow steady exercise eg gardening, long brisk walk, etc seems to massively increase my insulin sensitivity. Could be the case for you - especially if all day in the garden?Morning all
Grey out there but happy person here 5.2. A badge day
It was weird yesterday, I'd been gardening all day, came in checked BG and it was 10 something so I stuck in 1 unit. A couple of hours later BG 2.7. Anyone know why or can have a guess?
Thanks @oldgreymare, it's an idea, sorry to hear of your hypo. I haven't got a lawn just masses of garden that needs weeding etc.My only assisted hypo happened after spending a couple of hours using a new lawnmower. I get my vit D prescribed because of a deficiency.Hi guys, just wondering if anyone takes or can recommend a brand of vitamin d supplement. I know my nurse said not to take vitamins and to try and get your vitamin intake from food, this is fine for all other vitamins other than vitamin d! I eat fish but not every day and I don’t like to eat eggs everyday as too much yolk is meant to be bad for you, the recommmended daily intake is 600ul a day? Does anyone else supplement this?
D3 (likely fish based) supplements are best, unless you are vegan - then research D2 (plant based) supplements - also sunlight is a key source, but obviously not great in northern winters.I get my vit D prescribed because of a deficiency.
Nothing wrong with egg yolks as far as I know.
