It was all going so well, and then I went swimming ♀️ grrr....! If I didn’t enjoy it so much I wouldn’t bother. It makes management so tricky. Stayed at 6 for hours and am now at 14 with an up arrow, or I was until I injected.

Morning peeps, hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday. I seem to be the opposite of most folks, I had a fairly good day yesterday and overnight between 6.1 and 4.0 at 6am . took 4 jelly beans rolled back to sleep and woke at 9am with a 5.1.

For the past 4 months I have been almost bread free, but fancied toast and poached eggs this morning. Bread is the tiny Warburton slices at 10.7g per slice. So 3 slices should set me up nicely till lunchtime.

Have a great day whatever you are doing in the rain:arghh:

Morning everyone,

Yesterday I managed to forget to do my morning Levemir dose, which was a bit of a nuisance, but I survived. I was trying to do something different as part of my morning routine, and something was bound to go wrong, and it was that. This morning I actively remembered.

Went a bit low during the night, and I over corrected, and then about 4am, to had do a correction dose of insulin, which again a nuisance, but not a major disaster.

Going to go on an unnecessarily long walk to Tesco's now, to buy food. Then I'll try recording something this afternoon, and maybe stroll down to the Fruitmarket Art Gallery. I'm not really a modern art fan, but it's a way of being physically active without risking spending money in shops. I might get educated though, you never know!

Good morning y'all 2,9 waking but I was good at 8am when I decided to go back to sleep at 6.9, anyway it's coming back up, but I don't pre bolus till it does so a late breakfast I reckon.

Add an expletive ridden sentence and that's my take on T1d today the crested porcupine.....

Edit, and I had to buy Candrel sweeteners as the shop didn't have Sweetex and Candrel aren't nice :p

@Mel dCP What about the painting and sanding as a reason for lows and need for less insulin ?? And why does not your Ruler of the Multiverses status not exempt you from the hypos and hypers ?
This was a rest day, but could have been a hangover from the day before. Although I’ve only been doing very small amounts in a day, due to the chronic fatigue I live with. Which is why the jobs I’ve been droning on about have taken so long! I did two tenths of nothing yesterday, apart from a spot of mild knitting, and was dead level in the 5s overnight. On a watching brief right now, to see what happens on the reduced basal.

~sigh~ Its one of those days.

2.8 during the night fine, jelly babies, woke up at a 7.4 which was fine and since then it has climbed and I can't get the *&^(%$^ down and that is sticking 3 to 4 units in me every few hours.

Going to have to go the gym again later, if it stop raining do something else, some day T1D really does take the H2NCONH2.

The air is certainly blue in this house with all the readers getting flipped the bird.

Doing much the same with the long walks to my supermarkets. Already met a number of colleagues doing the same as me - getting sorted food-wise today for going back to work, so the next couple of days can be the last of the holidays! Just unpacked the main big shop and now off to the other two supermarkets in the opposite direction for the few items I get there now I've had my early lunch.

I have to be carefully supervised in art galleries of any kind - my face is one of those which gives away my thoughts, and my out-loud voice has been known to over-ride my inside voice pretty forcibly. I'm much better at being restrained at a music concert not to my taste, as I can always pretend to be studying a programme!

Oh, I'm very good in art galleries, if they're free, have a roof, and cost less than the gym, I don't complain. I say all the right things.

Progress report: Lower girdle pain - the doc says maybe musculo-skeletal cause so some blood tests just to check out other things - no I did not ask exactly what. And to see a physiotherapist. Sounds reasonable to me - and he did not alright say it is all due to my age so that is a bonus of sorts. It is a 1.5 kg walk to the physiotherapist so will be well warmed up on Monday am !!
Enjoy your day everyone. For me? More kite repairs to do grumble, grumble ...

Good morning Karen, have a great day. You’re up early!
I’m not usually awake at this time but have been brought to consciousness by indegestion, my own veg soup I think, made using everything edible in the veg baskets and garden on return from family bh next the sea.

Morning y'all, 3.9 waking :) so it nearly snuck up on me, decent day yesterday levels wise till tea, I took the youngest to the football meeting up with my boy, well he's a man now but you know what I mean :) and hit the shop for the supermarket markdowns for tea, not a long enough pre bolus and the carbs on the food packets seemed more than the ones I injected for so spiked to 11.
Busy week and D-day on Thursday with regard to my Libre script, I've done the maths and with me not finger pricking the month without car and taking Aviva test strips @ £15 x 50 the NHS have saved money me not testing 10 times a day or more And I've made them an Excel spreadsheet to support my claim so we'll see.
I expect a small spike this morning as I've to be at mums for 9 to sort the skips arrival so the breakfast's not at its more leisurely fashion, I hope y'all have a good day :)

Well the xDrip alarms went off last night twice for being too low, go them set to go off at 2.8, complete and utter butt monkies after yesterday fighting to get everythig down last night it surfs along the bottom of the pond ~sigh~:watching:

Anyway woke up with a 4.8 and cruising at a 6.4 expecting spike in about 2 hours.:shifty:

Tonight Matthew I am going to be trying Tresiba :joyful:

Yes after nearly 20 years on Lantus I am moving to Tresiba, expect it will be an interesting week as this stuff last longer and takes more time for dose change to effect but at least I will be back to do 1 evening shot instead of splitting Lantus like I do now.

Should be fun and expect more ranting and cursing :cat:;):)

@kev-w Good luck with the "Quest For The Libre" where armed with only an excel spread sheet, bucket and sponge our plucky hero goes into battle against the suits, good luck, sir we salute you.

Think I need a coffee :bag:
