I think most peoples goes up???

I think if stress is involved (dentist!) then most peoples do go up - but theres always someone that does the opposite, just to prove the fact although we all have the same condition we all do not suffer the same. Welcome!

Pipes I think, nope engine fortunately did not over heat, still a pain mind.
If it didn't overheat, that's one plus...

I got a low coolant alarm fitted to my van. There's a fair bit of pipe work what with a mid seated engine slung under the cab & a rear heater matrix too..
I'd rather minimalise any further cost with a cooked head..

As an aside. Cats apparently like coolant. (But it don't do em any favours.) I hope you mopped up any spillage. ;)

People whose attitude says "Me, my opinion, my desire is greater and more important than anyone else"

And to whom the principle of ahimsa is a closed book that they refuse to open because it would make life more difficult for them.
Been cooking for a couple of hours now. Time to stop.

Dogs are feeling iffy after their jabs, but Dizzy is no worse

We are told he is overweight and we must feed him less. It'll have to be less at mealtimes unless they want us to cut out his carrots. He dearly loves crunching raw carrots and I usually give them one (small) each when I chop lunch.

Everyone having an OK day?

Just got off the phone from the School Escort team, I have a run tomorrow afternoon ( it's the one I was taken off and happy to do) and work with one lad on Friday, Monday and Tuesda., I am also working on Saturday with my other job, food sampling in Sainsbury's supermarket, happy with all that, with Sunday off :)

I love raw carrots too, but have smaller pieces now, you will have to put Dizzy on a reduced carb diet, I don't care for the term 'low carb' ?
I am having a good day so far thanks, been gardening and reading my book too, plus the sun has come out :)

Yeah @Robinredbreast I think you're right. He likes raw runner beans too, I could chop them in reasonable lengths and he can have some of them in his dinner bowl, and reduce his biscuit content. We tried that all in one stuff when he was little but he really hated it, and it didn't like him either. Now my husband does cooked mixed meats, some veg and some biscuit for him. Small dogs do best on two small meals a day, so that's what he gets.

I'm not too fond of the term low carb either and I won't do that to him. Life's got to be fun as well as healthy and in all things there is a happy medium - especially for dogs and children.

Afternoon chaps, ended up being sent to A&E because DIABETES. Had a X-ray and examination and nothing is broken, and there’s no sign of blood or fluid in the joint. So it’s a bad sprain/strain and I need to munch all the painkillers, rest it and raise it when possible. It’s in a neoprene brace too, and they’ve given me crutches so I can get around easier than with using a stick. I was in and out in an hour and a half! Had a lovely adrenaline/pain spike in my sugars too... back in range now, possibly rage bolused a smidge to get back into single figures but have let Elvis take charge of dealing with it now.

I’m taking today and tomorrow off work so I can go in for the last day of term at job share school. Currently sat with feet up, coffee, cats, sewing and watching 24 Hours in A&E. Thank you all for your concern and good wishes ❤️❤️❤️

In other news, my Leatherman Raptor was waiting for me when I got home - my crowdfund for my stethoscope smashed its target and I had enough left to buy it - it’s a 6 in 1 paramedic multitool with trauma shears, glass hammer, ring cutter, strap/seatbelt cutter, ruler and oxygen tank wrench. Stethoscope arrives tomorrow! It’s really happening and I’m so excited. DVLA sent my new photo card last week, and another arrived just now saying that I don’t just have provisional bus/lorry entitlement, I have a full licence for those because I passed my car test before 1997. So I’m all set for my blue light driving training. Is it terrible that it’s the bit I’m looking forward to the most?

@Mel dCP - not terrible at all - we're all big kids at heart, and you just wanna go "nee-nah, nee-nah" all over the place.

Glad you got seen and done, and didn't break anything. Also glad you're actually resting!

@Mel dCP I hope you get better soon, it doesn't sound too pleasant.
@WuTwo Overweight dogo sounds cute but the vets said no, dogo needs to lose weight :( I'd give dogo more carrots, less grainy stuff.

Hello friends,

Once again hayfever is acting up, I just want one day where I can have my windows opened and feel a nice breeze. But NHS are like "make sure your windows are closed", that isn't going to happen if it is warm and humid. :banghead:
Diabetes was a bit naughty - 11.4 this morning, safe sailing at 8.5 now. :)

@MeiChanski - yep - his farts are going to be planet-crackers, I think. They're bad enough now but with increased veg :wideyed::yuck::wideyed:

NEEEEEEEEEEEE-NAH! I wonder what the adrenaline spike will look like the first time I’m behind the wheel and get to press the “999 mode” button to turn it all on?

@Mel dCP I am not surprised at all that you are looking forward to your nee nah training.
The only times I have ever been in an ambulance (as a patient), I was in a lot of pain and on a morphine (I think) drip but still very disappointed there were no blue lights.
They may well have arrived on lights and sirens, it’s not actually that common to go on them once they’ve got the patient, unless you’re time critical.

@Mel dCP yep, I'd be excited about the nee nah bit too! As for the stethoscope and Leatherman Raptor - don't they provide you with those? If not I think it's shocking, and well done on the crowd funding.

The work files/resources are about to be packed into a storage box and hidden away. The boots and overalls have been retired for the foreseeable future, but we've decided I'm holding on to them as they were bought for me to use and who knows how long this change of area will last.

42 days before I need to think about Main Paid Workplace again.

They do provide very basic kit, but I’ve been advised that it’s pretty ****** quality - so I’ve got kit now that’ll see me through my entire career! I’ve got some really epic boots too, although they provide all the uniform etc the boots aren’t great. All the stuff I’ve chosen is what’s been recommended by the guys over at the ambulance station, kit they’re using themselves all day, every day. I’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of my friends and family in chipping in - it’s been utterly amazing. Another of my friends makes stuff from leather, and she’s making me a hard case with a belt loop for my Loop RileyLink, so it’ll be protected while I’m on the job. I’ll have a utility belt to rival Batman at this rate!

Chaps, I’ve been thinking (basically because I’m sat in the sofa with my leg up) - would anyone be interested in a meet-up?
