My record in a day is 18 injections! Usually, I’ll correct when I hit 6.5-7 with half a unit to drop me by 1.5mmol. However, I’ve been getting bad hormone related insulin resistance, which only lasts a few days, so can’t increase my basal as I’m on Tresiba and it doesn’t react in time. So on days like this, I’m dribbling in 0.5-1u every hour or so to stop it getting out of hand. I’ve not been able to get in below 7 for a few days, but am mostly able to keep in in single digits. Obviously stacking is an issue, but I log all my doses in two apps, so I’m aware of how much I have on board at any time. I did try the official DAFNE only correcting before a meal thing as an experiment, and it hit 17, so I took four units (should have dropped me to 5 minimum) and went hypo. So I’m back to my dribbling! Don’t know if it’s the heat, but my few days of resistance is into its third week. Reluctant to up the Tresiba any more than I have already in case it goes back to normal and I’ll spend a week hypo.
And yes. I look like I’ve been beaten up by an elf.
