@Mel dCP Oh! that cake looks fab, can you PM me the recipe please? :)

Evening all.

Fine day nearly in the green band on the Etch A Sketch all day :)

Sat here listening to Kraftwerk while designing Wedding stationery for our up and coming wedding, nearly all done just need to print out the Table plan ones on the paper going to use, to see what its like but will wait till the weekend for that.
Ooh Kraftwerk....I like them, good choice, will have a look on my iPod to see if I have them on it.
Happy birthday @Mel dCP

I also do a very nice lemon one. I love cake.

Hello, I don't post here much but just want to vent a bit. I didn't think I'd live to see the effects of global warming, we talk about coasts going under water but actually this hotter summers even by a few degrees have such a change on me.

Hopefully my attachment works, last week it was much cooler from Tuesday to Friday - around 21 to 23c. Saturday kicks in and we're back to 26c and you can see how it pushes my insulin resistance up. Keep tweaking the basal but not to much effect. Even went for a jog on Friday and that didn't seem to make a difference.

I'm welcoming the cooler weather again.

For reference, top line is readings, purple is carbs, pink is bolus and brown basal.
The heat is having the same effect on me. I’m so resistant at the moment, it’s silly.

That last message was an odd one, I wrote it at home on the pc whilst eating tea and didn't send it but the same message was sat there at half time when I looked at my phone, so I edited it and posted it, strange :)

I dropped to 3.9 but you can scan in a crowd and correct without any problems, I gave watching evening football up as my bloods would go wrong in the rush to eat and get across town so that was quite satisfying doing a spur of the moment thing and it not going pearshaped.

Good to meet up with my lad and his mate at the football, remembering me taking them to Southport for their first away game aged 9 and they're in their mid 20s now.

And City won 1 - 0 :p so it was like finding hens teeth.

Evening all! Had a lovely birthday day out with the fam, despite living here for nearly fourteen years, I’d never been inside Cardiff Castle, so we went there. Was amazing! Sugars running in the low fours all day, I think my “shark week” basal is too aggressive so I’ve backed it off a bit.

And now I’m in my pyjamas with a goblet of pink wine and am about to eat my birthday cake.

Recipe says it’ll serve two, and it will. Me, twice. :D

13g carbs for the whole thing :smug:

@smc4761 - going pretty well considering it’s only my 5th day with it, I think!
Happy birthday mel

@karen8967 Mornin gKaren and everyone else

@Mel dCP Thanks picked up the recipe so guess what I might doing this weekend :D and sorry bit late but Happy Birthday :joyful:

@porl69 Kraftwerk is my go to music when I do anything with images and usually Autobhan on repeat :hilarious: which gets the responce from the other half of MrsK "You on Photoshop again?" Me "Maybe why?" MrsK "Cause you got that **** music on again" Me :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Good morning everyone and @Mel dCP I hope your birthday was a crackerjack one x
It's dull here and cooler, awoke on a 3.0 ! oh rats.... before bed was 7.1.
I might try to go into town to pick up a prescription from Boots today. on my own, first time I have actually been into town centre for about 6 weeks.
Hope you all have a wicked Wednesday :)

I don't like chocolate cake and I love the warm weather in fact the hotter the better which doesn't effect my insulin at all...
To balance it out I'm coeliac and have Bile Acid Malabsorption so I have my own crosses to bear and I couldn't eat that cake Mel even if I wanted to.

4.0 this morning so happy days.....

Happy times and places

Very tempted to go blackberrying this morning. Past loads of brambles yesterday exploring the far outreaches of a country park which I do walk around regularly, but usually along the main path by the brook. There's plenty of fruit on lots of bushes at a reasonable height. I've even got fruit on the three rogue brambles in my garden which escaped my cull of them last year.

I grew up on in a house which was on farmland (land was farmed by neighbouring farmer) with loads of blackberries and at the time was very sad when we moved into a town with fewer blackberry opportunities..

Good morning y'all and a big fat Grrrrrrrrr from me, woke at 3.9 Libre, felt ok, had a couple of Dextrotabs and a coffee/pre bolus and sat for 10 before eating my porridge, Libre scan as I go and it says 2,6 like you what? Finger stick says 3.9 and that'll be the lowest point of the breakfast swing as I cracked straight on with my second course.

'Diabeticly' I'm ok and feel fine but that was frustrating as my hypo awareness has sharpened up again and I knew it wasn't in the 2's.

Halfway to the weekend, enjoy your days :)

Do you have different music for different tasks?
I wonder what toons you will be playing as you bake and eat the cake recipe from @Mel dCP

Oh and, morning one and all. Hope it is a fun/productive/pain-free/positive (delete as applicable) day.

Yeah I do for most things, plus I also make songs up, by that I mean I change the words of songs to fit the occassion, most ofthe time they are rude :hilarious:

Making cake? well at the moment I'm into Chinese Man or some other dance/hip hop that might be on, much to the annoyance of MrsK :D or could be Abba maybe Elvis, he is usually good for baking :cat:

Morning all! Smooth sailing overnight, but a little hump in the line since nine o’clock, so I’ll do a spot of fiddling with my rates to iron it out. Correcting quite aggressively to get into range just now... quiet one today, husband’s birthday tomorrow but I don’t know what he wants to do yet.

Hope you’re all well xxx

PS lemon cake recipe is here :)

Nothing so good as travelling on a gentle ocean swell. Maybe a nearby dolphin splash caused the little wave. Pushing through the wave leads to calmer water.
Or to take another analogy, the ironing mat is smooth with the occasional wrinkle or bump which needs a burst of steam.
Please continue your awesome journey.
