I’m. So. Tired. Hate painting and decorating, tbh.

Steady fives all day, didn’t eat until about an hour ago, so I think my basal rate is spot on. Trying extended bolusing for white fish again, over two hours as that worked yesterday. Two massive cod lions in and egg wash and halloumi crumb, about three tons of roasted tomatoes with wilted spinach and sort of held together with mayonnaise and aubergine chips, 15g carbs and 70g protein. So I took 4u with 30% up front and the rest over a couple of hours.

Watching the Blues Brothers now, with some wine. RIP Aretha Franklin :(

Well that was not fun. Must have overdone the Novorapid a tad, just had my worst hypo in years. Could feel myself dropping and checked my Libre after about 1 hour, showing as 4.9, but it felt MUCH lower and it was. Done a finger check and 3.2 . That was unusual because all my previous sensor have both around the same BG

It felt really low and panic mode then kicked in which of course makes much the hypo feel much worse. Lots of fast acting carbs on board, Libre now at 3.9 and showing a down arrow. Another finger test down to 2.9. Now real panic set in so quick glass of coke and away to lie on top of bed. Libre now at 3.2 and still showing down.

10 minutes later and back in land of living at 5.2 finger test. So back onto rollercoaster

I know some people hate going hyper, but I really hate going hypo and will probably feel cr ap for rest of night:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Detest hypos
I hope you manage some sleep tonight and feel better in the morning

You’re not alone! A couple of weeks ago I turned up seven days early to an appointment. It involved paying some money so maybe I was hoping to get the pain done and dusted? At least yours will be for getting some dosh

Hi FG

I have a hospital appointment on Monday I have checked and double checked it’s at 9am so hope I don’t sleep in

It’s scary lol
Worst thing is the alphabet challenge...... you know that persons name, for heavens sake you’ve worked with them for the last 20 years. BUT you can’t for love nor money remember there name as you pass them in the corridor.
This is the start of the alphabet challenge. Does there name start with an A....B...or maybe any of the other 24 letters ?
3 hrs later......bingo:):):). It was Bob. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Been there done that - embarrassing when you have a conversation with someone who obviously remembers you and all of the time you’re thinking ‘who are you again’!

Good morning y'all :) I slept in again waking to an 11, into my second month of Tresiba and it's time for fine tuning/re working meal times and diet I think, Lantus worked best with a late tea, and this I think will work better if I eat earlier.

A not happy morning next as I've the ex to take with the young un for new school blazer and uniform bits, and I'd rather just take the child but as I got the wrong black colour last year it seems I need help so I'm dusting down my great book of sarcasm before I set off....
The colour debacle reminds me of when I had cataracts. After they had been replaced my appreciation of colour once more matched that of my wife. (or hers matched mine) LOL

Or Barry, or Bruce.........

Song of the day: "What the world needs now, is love, low-carb love ......" (Never mind that it is doesn't scan as well as the original).
Perhaps also: If had a glucom meter, I'd meter in the morning, I'd meter in the evening, all over this land ... " Any other ideas ???

A tip someone gave me a while back for situations like this was...... look quizzically at the person to whom you are talking and then ask with a smiling face.....”what is your name again?”
When they look dumbfounded and a tad put out and reply with ......”Daphne” for instance. You immediately reply with...” No not your first name, silly. I meant your surname.” Never tried it personally but theoretically it should work.:):):)

@Mel dCP well done Mel on your 100%

Arh! The challenge of rembering names, when I used to work in camera retail, I could only remover a few people's names, however tell me which camera they had bought and yep knew who you were talking about :)

On a side note, woke up Etch A Sketch said 2.8 :***: OK how to deal with this Jaffa cake and a coffee :angelic: checked bloods 3.8 so not so bad and kind of what I expected.

On another side note, I was wandering up an down the TV channels just now and came across a show called "Top Hooker" :woot:imagine my disappointment when I found out it was competitive fresh water fishing :arghh:

Hi there @Knikki . The 2.8 must have been annoying.
Fortunately my 2.30 a.m leap / stumble out of bed had nothing to do with sugar levels.
Rolled over in bed and BANG ......left hamstring went in to cramp. Looking back now the scene was quite comical.
Me , leg in air, foot pointing to the headboard, wife pooing herself thinking we’ve got burglars, me screaming in agony rubbing the offending hamstring. The whole sordid episode lasted a good 10 mins with the **** hamstring releasing only to spasm again a few moments later.
That’s the price us old ‘uns pay for spending a few hours on hands and knees boarding our lofts out.
Ladder and new hatch to fit today and it will all be done. Thankfully.
Have a good yourself and keep out of any lofts.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Morning all have a great weekend took my libre off last night left me with an angry rash again at least you cant see it as its on my bottom the annoying thing is i have an appointment on tuesday were i will be getting my libre on prescription after self funding for months .il see if they can make any suggestions. seems to be a week for hypos as have had quite a few myself backed up by fingerprick take care everyine

It used to happen to me a lot when I visited the head office.
I was one of the few female engineers. I I have red hair. I am British in a Finnish office. They only knew one British redhead who may be wondering the corridors. There was an infinite number of blonde haired Finnish guys. How was I supposed to remember their names?

That was some years ago. I now work at home and know everyone in my office. And if someone wants to talk they use Skype which displays their name. Gotta love this technology lark.

Any how, no corridors of power today. Just my parents and I remember their names.
Talking if which, better get the sourdough loaves in the oven so they have something to eat.

Morning,
