Morning everyone,

Happy birthday @Fairygodmother have a good day.

Yesterday I decided to go for a much longer than usual walk, which was great, it worked beautifully, as I ate a cereal bar before I left, and stopped off after about 20 minutes fast walking, in John Lewis, to let my blood sugar rise, then carried on walking. I then ate some tangy wine gums, to get home, but I had to walk home slower to make sure my blood sugar didn't drop.

It worked very well, because I didn't have a blood sugar rise in the afternoon. I often I find I have to eat to reduce the rapid fall from walking for 20 minutes/half an hour, but rarely manage to have a long enough walk to burn all the extra carbs off, and have been ending up going too high in the afternoon. But yesterday I managed to walk all the carbs off, but I can't do that every day, there just isn't time.

Overnight blood sugars were great too.

I'm too tired for a long walk today, anyway, but it was interesting to see what happened, with the libre. Never had that much information before.

I take it Ali didn't bring much wind to your area yesterday @Alison54321 :)

Your walk sounds good - I try to find time to get a good paced walk in every now and again as it's very refreshing. Sometimes my bg levels behave and others there is a steady but noticeable drop. I try not to take on extra carbs if I can avoid it with walking.

<Aaaaa .....choo!>
Happy Birthday @Fairygodmother

At least I am not a bloke - it would be Man Flu if I was :)

If it was man-flu, you wouldn't be able to do ANYTHING at all. Not even type. You will never know just how bad it is (being a female) :hilarious::hilarious:
Get well soon x

Morning @Cumberland - passed over J43 yesterday after lunch and saw the chaos below. Vehicles backing well up towards 42 and folk trying to back off the slip road after they'd realised their mistake. That bridge is good for wind at the best of times.

Nice one on your fasting - 11.1 for me today after going to bed at 11.2 with a correction on board. Dipped a little then rose again overnight and stayed fairly flat until I got up. :(

Were you on the J43 roundabout?

If you were then you were fairly close to where I live

I hope your double figures bloods can dip down into single figures, it’s a constant battle isn’t it!

Yes use that junction once a week at least but fortunately I was on my way out of the city yesterday instead of on the Northbound. They were down to 7 with repeated corrections but shot back up after my delayed brunch according to Libre.

It was very windy, but I went anyway.

My hat blew off, I caught it though, but had to do the rest of walk without it.

Fair play for going out in that then! I watched one of my fence panels get ripped out and was getting battered by it when I went out to collect it and weigh it down so it didn't take off across other people's property.

@Fairygodmother many happy returns to you, and @Knikki best wishes to you both for tomorrow, and I hope your diabetes'es (,ade up word for plural diabetics :p)behave too.

Threequarters of a productive morning, with a tea break thrown in and now rained off, blood's up at 9 but will be swimming in an hour or so, so no correction at this time or any bl**dy lunch :(

@Fairygodmother bit late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY :)

@helensaramay pfft!!!! until you have had man flu" you just have no idea what a cold is like ;);):):hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

And once again Thank You all from me and the almost Mrs Knikki for the well wishes for tomorrow :)
