There is nothing wrong with your quiche and I am sure it is the finest quiche in the all of the multiverse.

However every time some says "quiche" all that pops in to my head is 1974 and my parents dishing it out like it was the last supper, and since then never really like it...........Sorry.

What do you reckon to flan?

I'm coming round to the idea of quiche.

Hadn't eaten it for decades - whether that's because of the subliminal messaging about how "real men don't eat quiche" or not, I don't know - it was just not something which figured on my menu choices.

But the cafe/sandwich shop next door to my office does it, different varieties each day, for example, brie and broccoli, or salmon and asparagus, a slice along with a couple of their 20 or so salad/beans/vegetable choices.

One day, a customer ahead of me got a slice, looked quite good, so I just said what the hey, I'll have a slice of that, chuck some of those mixed beans and the coleslaw in with it.

Carbs & Cals reckoned it at about 20g for the quiche, 15g for the beans, 35g all up.

Levels were surprisingly stable for the rest of the day. Is 35g low carb for a single meal? I suppose it is, even though Bernsteinistas would say whoah that's more than a whole days allowance.

Beans, pastry! Dangerous!

My take on it is that I wasn't that interested in the carb count, I just quite liked the look of it and it floated my boat at that point in time.

If there had been something else on the menu which I liked the look of and it was 90g, I would have eaten that instead.

Oh I do like quiche bit heavy on the carbs though??

OK my fellow colanders what do we think. Finally managed to get a flatish line with BG, hovering between 5 and 7 since about 2pm. just about to have dinner , 2 pork chops and a fairly standard portion of cooked cauliflower, maybe 10 g of carbs. Thats all.

So if my background Levemir is correct, on a ration of 1:5 for my Novoslow, I should only need 2 maybe 3 units of this. Come 10pm I should be sitting around 6 or 7?

Let the betting commence

Are things getting back to normal? Just checked and I am at 5.9 so happy with that. Lets see how it goes overnight

Morning, up early today and can't believe it's still dark.
Madam BG is odd

Happy Monday all! Up on a 7.8 and risen to 10 by the time I made it to the loo and back. Swim Fit this morning, so see what happens later. Running a little higher the past couple of days, but got a lot going on so a bit of the stress factor I think.
Could have done with my new Fiasp to speed things up this morning. If it does indeed work!Nearly 4 weeks awaiting, chasing up needed today.

Interestingly saw brother Saturday who has also been put on Fiasp. He can only get it through the hospital, not the GP. We both live in Leeds so the chasing up this week could prove interesting. Shall be more than a little annoyed if I have to return to the hospital. Incidentally he has been on it three months and has noticed a big difference. So hope same for me.
