@Robinredbreast Hotel Chocolat Supermilk one bit chocolate puddles. 100g = 27 carbs so I reckon 1 puddle is just less than 1 carb but I didn't actually count the puddles. The blurb on the back says they have less sugar than 70% dark choc.
Um .. thinks, (a rare occurrence)! try 90% dark choc ??

My consultant writes up everything on computer now.
And, the last time I got a non-repeat prescription, that was created online (and printed) so bad hand writing is no longer an excuse to hide information.
What concerns me, whether writing or typing, is the doctor not looking at me when I am speaking. So much can be missed by not looking at the patient!! The doc looking at the screen and typing away as I am enunciating my pearls of wisdom (or pig's swill) is unprofessional !!! By all means type up later (and show me what has been recorded.) They say 90 % of communication is non-verbal (that is, 10 % is the actual content of what the patient says, but the way it is said, the gestures, the facial expressions, the posture of the patient etc is said to be where the 'gold' of the consultation is.

As others have said, sending my best wishes to you today @Cumberland.

Night in hotel was ok - not too niosy or too hot last night.
Shower was interesting. It was one of those dribbles where the ideal temperature was somewhere between here and there. Where "here" and "there" were a few micrometers apart. And the shower took a couple of minutes to react to each temperature change.
Thankfully, I noticed the lack of hair dryer before I started so opted to put my hair up rather than spend hours getting it wet under the dribble and then realising I would have to go to the meeting with wet hair.

BG has gone back to being high again. I'm so glad I didn't permanently adjust my basal when it was running at -20% temporary basal for a week.
Nothing like the challenges of travel to put BSLs up.
In a youth hostel in Tasmania, I was in a room on the first floor. Not only were the showers a challenge but at the end of the corridor was the fire escape, a thick coiled rope fixed next to a doorway !!!

Aye good morning y'all :) a waking 4.2 for me and it's persisting down again outside again, which is a pain, it's my next door neighbours funeral at lunch, 72 year old and lung cancer got her a couple of weeks back :( my eldest and I are going to go, wear something green they said but the only green thing I can find is an old oily American fishtail parker in the shed and I don't think it's suitable...

Then the weather forecast came on't local radio "wet, windy and reaching gale force later" and I didn't want to hear that :p

same weather here too @kev-w
Green socks or tie or hanky or a scarf stuffed in a pocket to look like a hanky or a button hole made from stuff in the garden

@kitedoc 90% is great but I fancied something different
Who's good at maths?
41 choc puddles in a 110g bag
100g = 27carbs
How many carbs in 1 puddle?
110/41 = 2.7g wgt per puddle, 1 g weight = 0.27 g carbs 1 puddle = 2.7 x 0.27 = approx 0.7 gs of carb, 10 puddles = 7 g carbs.
I only mentioned 90 % cocoa chocolate because the more cocoa in it ,generally (a dangerous word, of course) there are less carbs compared to a 75% or 80% cocoa. And assuming there is no flavouring added)

@kitedoc thanks and @Diakat 0.72 per puddle is fine. I wouldn't dream of eating 10.

Morning all, I awoke to a 7.3, which is fine. It's blowing a hooley here and rain with it !! If your out and about, take care, the wind here is fierce :wideyed:

9.8 this morning, must have miscalculated carbs last night as was 3.1 before bed, was 4.2 an hour before that, 4 glucotabs and a couple of Jaffa cakes may have been a touch too much.

Blowing a good'un here too, forecast last night said we'd get heavy rain over night and then by morning it'll have stopped - well they were right about the heavy rain......................still 'slightly'(!) wet now though.

Morning all, training v intense yesterday, am art-gallery-sitting for a friend today, so will be a nice gentle day to recover! Off to Liverpool tomorrow for two consecutive gigs, one in Liverpool Saturday night, and then Birmingham Sunday night... then driving home to Wales straight after...

BG steady as she goes, am quite happy with it just now, so expect it to go cats up imminently...

Good morning....I think my MM and Libre are broke......6.4 before bed.......6.4 on waking AND 6.4 now. Finker prick this morning YEP 6.4 :)
Just been to the GP to see the diabetic nurse, I think she must have read a book or something over the weekend because she was really knowledgeable about diabetes today. She asked how I was getting along with the Libre so I had to tell her about the MM. She seemed very impressed as she asked a lot of questions. With regards to the Optium ketone strips she said to bring the box in when I had 10 left and she would sort them. Currently have a box of 50 and since I havent been abouve 15 for a whil they should last me a while
