Type 1'stars R Us

Forgot to say, got my tickets to see Ed Gamble in Cardiff next year. There is a pretty funny video doing the rounds on face book at the moment which is well worth a look

Morning teabags. Good heads up @Knikki, yes I hope @Alison54321 is ok. I’m trying to remember if she said she was going on holiday, has anyone any recollections?
A better night last night, but no mixing bowls to lick either, and a trip to the dentist meant a light supper. I gave the knackety knee a challenge: walk, slowly, to the bus stop, then, slowly again, from the nearest stop to the dentist. It meant going past a cafe that does wonderful cakes and yes, dear readers, I bought two, chocolate and fruit tart. They’re a treat for him indoors when he gets back from the Midlands, said in a firm voice, and remember what happened with the mixing bowl (carbs and Cals needs a section on bowl-licking). They’re sitting in the fridge and I’ve only had a little bit of the chocolate one. Really chocolatey! Big chunks of dark dark chocolate, too rich for more than a couple of mouthfuls.

Morning folks!
I had to get up to the toilet around 4am . . . unusual for me, so I tested 15.9! I have some kind of bug (presumably a virus) so I corrected and went back to bed, feeling dog tired.
Hubby was snoring so much, I got up again before 5am, made a hot drink and read my kindle. When drink was finished, I was ready to go back to bed but could still hear snoring from upstairs. I decided just to lie on the settee with a blanket over me and continued to read kindle. Around 6.30 I closed kindle and snuggled down under blanket, then heard hubby getting up to toilet. He came downstairs looking for me and both of us went back to bed .I didn't even mention his snoring! The phone woke me up just after 9.30 . . . A scam call! I tested before breakfast and was 12.8, so it looks like the virus is starting to take hold and I need a raised temporary basal (I'll wait for a while, as I had a couple of unexpected hypos yesterday, when I wasn't feeling that good).
I had to cancel a dance lesson and postpone some Christmas shopping today, but I couldn't manage one because of my cough and couldn't face the other because I just want to stay indoors, nice and warm, listening to the cold wind and rain outside.

DOH!!! I am having hypo-Thursday.....Every since 10am at 5.1 BGs are constantly dropping. Methinks I may had doubled injected my Tresiba last night "Mels Cat!!!!!" Customer just brought a box of biscuits in so will be making my way through those during the day.......currently on a 2.8 with a steady down arrow, confirmed with a finger poke of 2.4.....Feel absolutely fine thou

Take the whole box of bics and hide it under your counter - sounds like you’ll need it!

Is there a "Type 1 idiots r us" because I think I belong on that thread... I can't remember if I have taken my Tresiba for the last 2 days. I've definitely had it this morning but Wednesday and Tuesday illude me. Might account for me being high. :banghead:

I kept having that problem with my Lantus, until I found the Timesulin pen caps, they tell me how long ago it was when I last used the pen, I found injecting just becomes so habitual and auto-pilot that you don't register/remember doing it.

I use on on my Fiasp now. Was going to get one for my Tresiba BUT should be moving over to a pump in a few months. But yeah it is a blessing to be able to see when you last took the cap off. Really could have done with one last night lol
Alarms going off again!!!!! 3.9 and south facing arrow

LOL @mahola meet @porl69, @porl69 meet @mahola - together you might just balance things out :hilarious:

So since just before bed last night and now my BG tests have been between 4.1 and 6.9, this is getting silly now, and no I haven't only just done 2 tests - 6 in fact. And I'm not doing anything different.........!

Anyone else just get random periods of good control that can't be accounted for?

Saturday. Just found out Saturday is Judgement Day, so Cardiff will be hectic
It’s at Chapter, so in Roath. Should be fine. I’ve been to stuff there on rugby international days, and it’s been fine. Tickets in the basket, will pay for them tomorrow when I get paid hahaha.

Been for bloods, they’ve taken one for my thyroid too, and nobbled me for a review with the surgery DN on the 27th - we all know it’s a tick box exercise as my care as at the hospital diabetes clinic. Best make sure to have my Libre on my arm instead of my chest for that one, eh?

What is this good control of which you speak? I have a daughter who has amazing control. I have zero control. I think I give up! :yuck:
