Greetings to you all, hope you are all doing okay and life is being kind to you. It's been a busy day, now catching up on the forum with my much needed cuppa :)
I have lots of hypo's over the weekend, but awoke on a 12.2:rolleyes: 6.7 before lunch so that's much better, think I will cook Spag Bol for tonight's dinner :hungry:

, not entirely with it (he was seen peeing up against his own car) and my next door neighbour. I
I had to read this 3 times before I actually realised what you had written. I was feeling very sorry for your neighbour having to endure being urinated on.:):):). Oh for brackets:banghead::banghead:.
@Juicyj . Good idea with the olive branch. Helen could either “ tap “ him gently with it or worst case scenario he could ask her to pick him up 20 Woodbine for him:).

Till they tickle the front of your brain ;)
Brings back memories of last years holiday in Weston super Mare. Granddaughter snorted a yellow tic tac up her nostril.
We were driving down a main road at the time and wife was watching the kids through the sun visor mirror. Granddaughter just decided to sniff a yellow tic tac, as you do. And whoof it disappeared. All hell broke loose, brakes, hazard lights and the instruction to blow your nose NOW!!!! We actually had a good laugh about it after but scary at the time.

Has anyone else been told that their sensors from Abbott are on hold and won’t be shipped until something arrives from a supplier? I wonder what they think I’m going to do on Thursday when my last sensor dies? Why are they SO inefficient?

Nope, but your not the first to mention it, there have been a few around getting upset/frustrated as Abbotts inability to supply.

Back to finger pricks I guess until a new one turns up.

Thanks @porl69
I attempted this multiple times and deleted all but the last.
I am glad to see someone has picked up on the idea that understanding differences is important on this forum: that was one of the things I kept deleting because I had too many examples which would come close to shaming a forum member even of I didn't mention a name.
I was getting to the point that I was going to have to walk away form the forum because I was so frustrated.
The response so far has already gone a good way to keeping me going ... for now.
Nah, stick with it - too much to offer to clear off! Think it's been a bit quiet on here since we were moderated because we ranted, so I hope your great post on the new thread just lets us all get on with it with more acceptance.

On a slightly different tack, I went on the first of three sessions on exercise and T1 last week. I joined a research study into this last January, run by Extod (anyone else involved?) and because I was in the control group, I'm only getting the training now. I expected to learn from it, and I did, even more than I'd expected. If it's successful they're hoping to roll it out elsewhere.

Me. When a similar thing happened to me last year, it was back to finger pricks for a few days. They've got real supply problems, I think because their product is so darned popular.

I now make sure I have enough stock to cope with at least a month waiting time - ie always 2-3 in hand.

Thanks @porl69

Helen please don't leave us. Love reading your comments etc on the threads. Valuable member of the T1D team

Evening teabags!

A long day in school today, with the worst behaved two classes in the entire establishment. I had to have six children removed from one lesson for fighting, throwing things, breaking equipment and swearing at the learning support assistant. They just don’t give a sh... poo. And their parents don’t care either.

Bloods still running a little high, even with a higher basal rate than I’d normally use for this part of the calendar, no idea if I’m coming down with nothing or not. Don’t think it’s stress, as I don’t get wound up by the feral little monsters. Been running high since Saturday.

Great rant, @helensaramay - I’ve almost left the forum on a number of occasions too, and only really hang out here at the moment. Hey ho. I may raise my head above the parapet and extend my tentacles again soon (enjoy the mixed metaphor)

Good luck for pump day, @porl69 !

Me too, same experience as @evilclive

@becca59 Did you manage to see the moon this morning, I completely forgot and slept through then woke to a woman on R4 saying she'd seen it, well jel !!

Was up at 2:30am and due to cloud couldn’t see a thing. However, awoke to my husband standing over me at 5am saying, ‘do you want to come and see the moon?’ I was out of bed like a shot. (Sleeping in spare room as both have colds) From the front of our house there it was hanging over our valley. Just starting to come out of eclipse. Amazing!

Sounds like a corny chat up line.
Made me smile:):):)

He took his life in his hands I’ll tell you. I hadn’t heard him knock on the door and didn’t wake when he first spoke to me. I have been known to scream out in the night thinking people are stood over me

Evening all.

Seems I'm in a bit of a grump as I'm started to run high, like 11+ at some points during the day and I'm not sure why. Nothing has changed, but it did the same this time last year which lead to rant when I saw the DSN and I think one reason I got an EtchA Sketch.
Really need to start hitting the gym again but it is blinking cold out and past 5pm CBA runs over me in its bus.

Oh well ~shrug~

@porl69 did you say you were getting "pumped" :hilarious: this weekend? Well good luck if you are :)
