oops, Happy Birthday mate! Prefer the 90% meself but each to his own. You are 1 year younger (from 50 years of age each year you then count backwards). If you eventually reach zero that will be like a Year 2000 problem.IMG_4191.jpg

@kitedoc Is that some carnivorous Australian plant that will kill you on the spot with one of those poison laden tentacles? (Which can move freely and hides under the dunny seat?!)

The only knock was on the pillow as I was in bed.
I don't think it was a pressure issue - I thought they recorded low.

I must just have Blippy interstitial fluid :)
? Finnish weather and socks, as a cause maybe.
I wonder if there is a difference between interstitial fluid readings in one's leg compared to one's arm?? And would sitting on an aeroplane for a while cause a redistribution of I.F.?? And since I.F. involves lymphatics could there be irregularities caused by past infections? I have read that lymph nodes in the groin area can remain a bit enlarged after a number of toe/foot injuries, infection etc in one's youth and might, just might, affect lymphatic flow. Ah, the mysteries of the Universe !! (and socks)!!

Not that I know of @slip. The Venus fly trap is about as close as it gets.
Now spiders, that is a different thing. Redback spiders are renowned for such hiding spots !!

Morning all T1 Stars - it's Friday! :D

A Happy Birthday to @Knikki too! You seem to have been well stocked up with treats. I remember when Cadbury used to make a bar of chocolate with mint chips in. :)

Good morning all from a tired and recuperating me.
Rant time!
Why is a potentially superb health system let down by systems, and IT?!!!!!!
My discharge letter was addressed to a doctor I’ve never heard of in a town 15 miles from home sweet home. An IT programme scuppering blip.
The lovely ward sister set to and tried to ensure it went to the right place.
I tried ringing the surgery yesterday but after waiting through two lots of 40 rings gave up. Sleep called.
I got through today. They’d not received a discharge letter and have no info on my surgery, not even that it had happened. Could I, asked the receptionist, get in touch with the surgeon’s secretary and ask for some information to be sent to them? Or, if I have a copy of the discharge letter, bring it in to them. Well, it’s only 10 days after now and I’m not walking far yet. I did 250 metres on Wednesday and slept, after a painful night, most of Thursday. Luckily I don’t live alone and maybe him indoors can take it there.
Just imagine if the same broken system was used for air traffic control. No, don’t, it might be.
I’m now tired and angry that I’ve had to go to such lengths to try to make things happen as they should.
Rant over.

Hope you survive the last few days. It must be very sad working in an emptying building and watching residents move on. It all seems to have happened very quickly. Glad you have a new job with a nice break before hand. A new chapter can be good for life. Hope it is for you. Enjoy those 10 days off.
thanks becca x

Morning All and Happy Birthday @Knikki

I have noticed how some of you have been boasting about straight lines.
So I thought I would share my contribution to the straight line club - in my own special way

That's a real etch-a-sketch drawing and perfectly illustrates why I do not rely on my Libre for insulin doses and driving

@helensaramay that looks pretty much like my days most of the time

Happy Birthday knikki! I’m imagining you spending today underneath a chocolate fountain.

Happy birthday @Knikki, loved @db89 's Birthday pic - do you need a shave or was that designer stubble?

Starting tomorrow have friends here for week, not all at the same time, so looking forward to that. Will really try not to over-indulge under their influence :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
