Who did you go and see?Ditto @Daphne917, hello from sunny Somerset, although we've had a bitterly cold shower in the meantime. Been out and about to the local park with a friend and our dogs as part of their training in walking politely past people and other dogs.
Bg a bit up and down; went to a gig last night and Lantus went in later than it should've and I'm joining in with my dog and doing some chasing my tail today. Defo worth it tho!
Guessed the meaning and then checked, same to you ffrindDydd Gŵyl Dewi Sant, ffrindiau![]()
I’m going to look them up, I love that kind of stuff. Check out Atilla the Stockbroker’s Barnstormer, they do a lot of “Renaissancecore” - sort of punk versions of early music with weird instruments.A Belgian band called Wor (don't know how to get an umlaut) who play contemporary arrangements of music from the 1700s on a strange collection of instruments. Never heard anything quite like them, just find them amazing.
If you look up Wor you may not find them; if so, try 'We are Wor'. Should maybe have mentioned they're instrumentalists and their stuff is based more on classical than folk music, which I think is more Atilla the Stockbroker’s Barnstormer's stuff?I’m going to look them up, I love that kind of stuff. We went to see the Dead South in Exeter last night, a few hypos this morning due to my attempts at “dancing”, I suspect.
Sorry to hear about the hypos; mine happened just as I got there due to rushing around like a lunatic beforehand and probably not eating enough 'cos I was in a hurry. I don't know the Sead South but looked them up and yes, I'd go see them! My musical tastes are really rooted in blues and then rock; I'm trying to expand some horizonsI’m going to look them up, I love that kind of stuff. Low all through the night, awoke on 2.4, so ate and it was 6.4 before lunch, too many hypo's are happening and I have to get that sorted, asap. 5.1 now![]()
@therower my Dad was very fond of classical music so I had an introduction as a child, though find I'm getting more interested again now. Yes, I like the Planets, but for now, Mozart's my composer of choice, probably due to ignorance about others worth exploring.@hh1 . I’ve always been big on heavy rock but have recently tried to expand my musical horizons.
I’ve ventured down the classical line. Like all music, there is some of it I just can’t listen too but some is just WOW mind blowing.
Mars by Holst.......ultimate heavy rock.![]()
I was listening to the planets the day before picking up our 2 Burmese kittens so named them Jupiter and Mars - they are 15 this year and are as naughty and noisy as ever.@therower my Dad was very fond of classical music so I had an introduction as a child, though find I'm getting more interested again now.
