Shocking night as my new sensor kept losing its signal so the alarm kept going off.

This is the second time in as many months and had to start a new one.
The readings are right its just the connectivity.

Had 2 coffees already this morning...

I got highly stressed over something I shouldn't have, and my BG went nuts. My Bg level goes up if I take a hot shower and I thought it was going up because of that. But when I hadn't eaten and it still was going up I realized I had a pod/site failure and switched it out. So already too high. Then I got stressed and it wouldn't come down. I ended up taking 10 extra units, between the site going and being stressed I still went to bed 4 hours later bed at a 9.9. But I knew I had taken a lot of insulin already so I didn't want to take more. The first time I woke I was still a 9 but very slowly dropping and finally got a low alert about 5 am. I expected that and it had been a slow steady drop. My BG levels seem to still not be behaving today completely, but it reminds me how easily things go wrong!

Hi folks. This is a 'don't do what I did' kinda post.
I have just returned from 30 days in Philippines and I would strongly advise anyone thinking of travelling NOT to leave it until the night before you travel to look for your Frio insulin wallet. Up till after midnight looking for it and couldn't find it anywhere.
Improvised with a small thermos flask and transferred the insulin to in-laws fridge upon arrival in Philippines. Fortunately, the temperatures are generally below 30°C this time of year so I got away with it.
Second, if you're travelling around, do try NOT to leave your insulin in your in-laws fridge ! They were kind enough to get vials of long acting and rapid to me which involved travelling 5hrs each way - but I had already run out of long acting by the time they got back to me.
Third, don't assume that insulin is easy to get your hands on. Although my Levemir and Humalog brands are technically 'available' in Philippines I was unable to find stock at several branches of Watsons and Mercury, the 2 major pharmacies there.

So there you go. I'm off to Amazon to order new Frio wallets!
