@MikePea - Testing daily allows you to keep a check on your blood sugars and over time you will see which foods gives you spikes and therefore allow you to have better control.:)

Hello @liam1955 my blood sugars are just on their way down. Went up to 15.6 after a delicious none low carb meal but I was 8.1 before I ate. I don't think the headache is helping. I'll be fine tomorrow. You really are very kind asking.

@mo53 - We are missing you - @13lizanne and I (got to look out for our forum buddies) Good to hear that you have eaten, would not worry at your sugars being up - the main thing is you concentrate on getting better. Chat tomorrow, have a good evening.:):)

I agree @liam1955, we're all friends here on the forum. I'm certain I wouldn't have achieved the numbers I have without the support of everyone here. I just got back from my knitting group, thankfully the rain had stopped by the time we came out of the pub. I don't think I'll be on here much tomorrow, I'm going shopping in the morning and in the afternoon I'm taking DS to the dentist eek! Good night everyone xx

Goo good morning. I've woken in the early hours again but I'm pleased to say bs has gone down to 6.7. I hope everyone has a good day today. @liam1955 your snow yesterday sounded fun. We had a sunny day with no sign of snow.

Good morning everyone, I had to come on here to tell my good news - my FBG this morning was 5.7! That's the first time I've been under 6 :)

Ate nothing from 8pm last night and went to bed with a Headache. Woke at 8.15am feeling sick. Got up at 8.45 and checked BP that's up = 146/95 - done fbs = 10.3. Took Insulin, Metformin and 2 blood pressure tablets (take another 1 at 6pm) and just done bs at 11am and now 9.4 - only had 2 mugs of black tea with slice of lemon. BP tablets kicked in cos I am weeing for England!!! Still got headache though, so I have come out in sympathy for you @mo53. Hi to @13lizanne - hope you enjoyed your chat and tea with your neighbour? Accept the shortbread biscuits, save them up and send them to me!! :)

@liam1955 oh dear blood pressure and blood sugar up! No wonder your head is aching. Poor thing , I really relate to the thumping headache. I hope you are taking it easy and having a gentle day. My head has subsided to a dull thud but my bs was high for me so I'm making myself do some gardening, well gentle weeding. I thought fresh air and exercise might help. Take care :)

Just an update: 12.25pm just tested b.s. and it is 8.3. So, I am now going to have a mushroom cupasoup for lunch. And take 2 Ibuprofen for this headache.:)

Busy morning, collecting prescriptions, veg shopping, dusting, vacuuming and washing. This afternoon, ironing :arghh:, writing a catch up email to a friend and having a tidy up in the garden. That should burn a few calories :D.

Didn't get offered shortbread today @liam1955 what I did get was what felt like a hypo, went to visit straight after my walk, after a while felt shaky and was slurring my words. Came home tested blood 3.1 so had drink of irn bru - yuk! Had lunch now - bacon, two eggs andhome made sausage patty. Starting to feel better now, it was very mild but- interesting must have pushed the fast walking too much.

Ate late yesterday, slept late today, no time for breakfast Tesco was calling and forgot to test. We've come home with lighter pockets, put shopping away, had a coffee and inhaled a fresh cream finger doughnut. Just tested (1hr) and it's 7.8 and I refuse to feel guilty (yet).

Hope everyone who's feeling under the weather gets well soon and everyone who is well stays that way. xx

@13lizanne are you feeling better now that you've eaten? @liam1955 how was the soup? You feeling any better?
I'm absoluteLy fine thanks @mo53 I don't even know if it was a hypo maybe I just needed to eat something Glad to read that you are feeling a little better today, don't overdo things though, easy does it :)

Hi ALL. Enjoyed the soup & toast and tested after an hour and my b.s. is now 6.2. Bear with me folks - had to take my specs off cos my eyes hurt as well as my head now, so there maybe some spelling mistakes? (Don't want you all thinking I've been at the booze!!) You are all too many to THANK individually for your kind hugs etc. I have not done anything today, Am laid on the sofa, watching TV and on my Kindle. @13lizanne - Anna you OK now after your hypo? Oh, Audrey Hepburn your life story was on TV last night and I missed it!! My other half just rang to ask if I needed anything from the shops? = yeah a Gun!! I am such a wimp when ill. Pleased you are better @mo53 :)
