Love the pic. Keep postingHey....hello you lot. I'm pleased to see we have a lovely new home. This morning my blood glucose was a healthy 4.8 fasting. I'm ok with that number. Had my eye screening this morning too. How long does it take for these darn drops to completely wear off? I've got my sunglasses on right now, which admittedly makes me feel like a rock star. Wearing them indoors as I'm lying down, TV on, iPad & nibbly things to hand (salted popcorn is my treat today.) One is allowed to self indulge when one is a tad delicate.

You mention you have a non alcoholic fatty liver, years ago I was diagnosed with that, I cut out so many foods, spices ect snd finally about 1/2 years ago all my liver tests have been in normal range, had gallbladder out now I can eat most things most of the time if I want, mind you specialist frightened life out of me but it worked, but never knew what caused it. Wish you luck I'm sure you'll be ok@kjc2011 - Whoops!! Sorry, yes you did say about the Angina & Heart Bypass. I don't follow the LCHF diet, because I have Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) I was diagnosed with Fibrosis in January and waiting to see a Liver Specialist. My GP told me that my diet will probably be "tweaked" and said to watch my intake of saturated fat, and keep my Cholesterol as it is.
Sorry it's late just noticed your txt. I had blood tests every month then 3 months. Don't know what caused it, I was checked for every imaginable thing, took a long time, then liver one day test showed normal and stayed that way, never knew why so take care sure you will be ok good luckHi @maureen5752 - Thanks for that interesting read. I've had the Fibroscan and got my score, just waiting for the appointment to come around and see the Liver Specialist. My Liver Function is checked on a monthly basis because the levels are 'abnormal' - got blood test for next week. Good Night
I know everyone's different, but if i ate those sorts of meals my sugar would be 15+. The only way I can keep my readings below 8.5 after meals is by not eating bread, potatoes, rice, pasta or sugar (including fruit). I know that the official advice is to eat carbs with every meal but that really doesn't work for some people and maybe you're among them? Was so positive today and tried really hard for breakfast I had 1 weetabix with a small 200ml carton of fresh orange followed by a 30 minute walk to work. dinner a small slice of cheese pie with salad and an apple, and then for tea sausage mash peas and gravy followed by a bg yesterday 15.7, first time ever tested at the docs and then this morning 13.2 this evening up to 16.7 all meds taken as well but I suppose they are not going to work straight away and going to take time can't expect it to change overnight tomorrow's another day
