No not the Newcastle Brown unfortunately. I was actually talking about coming off metformin during the Newcastle Diet as my levels had improved so much

I'm looking forward to a warm day today and kids playing in mam's huge garden whilst sunday roast finishing off. No bil to irritate kids this week.
2yr old will wake saying "going to nanas?".
Listening to celine dion on R2, I love her powerful voice.
I'm just going to retest blood after a no added sugar juice which I've never drunk for over 3yrs. I wonder if I'll spike. It's a weak large beaker.
Oh no. Toddler is up. Darn'it. I've put on Blaze and the monster machines so I can finish off.

Sundays at Nana's was a staple when I was a kid. Absolutely adored her Sunday dinners and puddings. Also got spoilt in the village shop and had ice cream from the ice cream van!!

5.0 this morning, which is okay after the dreams I'm having, waking up in cold sweat thinking they were real and it always takes sometime to figure what's what....

Bit grey today so it might be a soak in the bath.

I've got a "sair heid" this morning No more vodka for at least a week! ( I only normally have 2 small vodka & lime juice on a Saturday) I think my measures might have been a little generous last night. Poor liver! But interestingly
my fbg was spectacularly low this morning. Not recommend for BG control though. Also I'm banned from posting on the forum while "relaxed"
 
Lol this is why I'm teetotal - I'm the world's biggest lightweight! In my younger days I used to go out on the razz with my neighbour, and the next day she would tell me all the shenanigans we got up to oops!
 
I tried the vodka experiment a few weeks ago. I'm still waiting for my lower bg.
Mind u I have to be careful on insulin. It can go dangerously wrong! I think I skipped my insulin that night. If I remember rightly.
 
Morning Everybody Another 7 hours of UNdisturbed/pain free sleep = thanks to the Tramadol. Again, I'm surprised at my fasting reading of 6.0 this morning. I ate my 2 buttered crackerwheat with cheese at midnight and never tested before bed so I am wondering if the Tramadol is giving me "false readings", because I ate quite a bit of chocolate around 9 - 10 p.m. (a full bag of Caramac buttons) Having my Liver Function Blood test done next week, think I will tick the box to have my HBA1C done also. And tell the Doctor I am wondering if it's the Tramadol OR Injections giving me these sugar readings, that should be much higher? Hmmm.
 
So glad you got a good sleep William, I think when you get enough sleep you can cope with pain? I know that I can't function properly when I'm sleep deprived. Enjoy today and get geared up for your tests next week
 
@13lizanne - Anna, you are so sweet, but no sympathy if your 'hung over' - (only cos I am jealous!!) I wonder how @paula.nolan42 is feeling this morning? Thanks @mo53 - Have you got dressed and started your housework? I wake with a fuzzy head but that passes and I feel so alert and replenished! (Don't think that was the right word???) Thanksxx

Gardening for you then!! Open all your Windows and doors and all the dust will blow outside. Your fasting was better this morning. Don't overdo it in the garden with your poorly hand and leg. - the Sun is just comming out, enjoy your day.

Thank you for your good wishes, I didn't have a full blown hangover, just a slightly queasy feeling which was gone by mid morning. Feeling a bit strange though, first time for ages I've not had loads of people to feed at the week-end. Watching the "Mad Men" box sets - educational!
