So I am guessing that posting weekly averages is not allowed on the "Type 2's What was your fasting Blood Glucose in the morning" either.
If we are literally only allowed to post the number then it is making me a little suspicious that this data is being "gathered'. So I will not be posting on that thread anymore. Bit sad really as it was a morning ritual test And post to hold myself to account.
As Rons wife / carer I will post on here about the course for all those who are in the same position as I am. As i'm sure there are a lot of you out there.xxxNot a problem @TooManyCrisps will be happy to let you know how it goes
I agree, when I read some of the posts, especially on "What was your fasting FBG?" then I feel like a complete failure because a good day for me is if the number starts with a 7 not an 8. But then I decided to just stop comparing myself and get on with what I could control, which is my carb intake. My liver really doesn't do me any favours in the morning. Are you on any meds David? My levels rocket if I so much as look at a simple complex carb. I agree that it's depressing when you read all the low BG results but I have a feeling that lots of people who read the posts have much higher BG but don't want to admit to it. The threads can read like some kind of competition sometimes, unfortunately. It is bloomin hard work to keep the nos down Some days I think **** it and eat a sandwich for lunch then my levels are raised for days afterward. Don't think that you are different to everyone else David I would have a very large bet that there are loads of forum members in the same position as yourself.
Your post was moved to a new thread as it strayed from the topic - fasting blood sugars. People are not limited to just a number but cannot go off and talk about other readings. You now have a thread where you and any other members can post weekly average BS results if you find that helpful. Now any member searching for weekly averages will be able to find them more easily. So I am guessing that posting weekly averages is not allowed on the "Type 2's What was your fasting Blood Glucose in the morning" either.

@TooManyCrisps you really just need to concentrate on your management. When you see others lower readings then take out of that "I can do that too" rather than "I'm a failure". There is a forum full of people rooting for you and ready to support you on your journey.I agree, when I read some of the posts, especially on "What was your fasting FBG?" then I feel like a complete failure because a good day for me is if the number starts with a 7 not an 8. I think people are more likely to post "good" numbers and then it becomes a bit of a vicious circle. I get pxxxd off if I post, say, "7.5" and get lots of hugs. I don't need a hug - it's an improvement on yesterday!!!
