Type 2 Life

It's a lovely sunny day here in Manchester but my day will consist of being curled up on the sofa with a lemsip, marking books and waiting for my delivery of new clothes for my holidays. Im full of a cold and feeling sorry for myself. Enjoy your day and the sunshine everyone.

Morning all, sorry in advance to the male members of this group but my hormones are driving me potty! Hot flushes, PMT and 24 c temperatures are not a good combination :( I was tossing and turning all night and woke up to 7.6 this morning, now I'm knackered and not looking forward to the walk up to mum's

Ooooh! I feel your pain, I can't stand the heat either being an auburn haired Celt. I remember the night flushes too! You have my sympathy, try cold showers throughout the day?

Awww, Barbara - you poor little thing! Those hormones are a bu**er, aren't they? The only positive aspect I can offer to console you is that at least you are still young enough for them to bother you. Hugs x
:(

Thanks for your sympathy everyone, @13lizanne that was a good suggestion - I just had a cold shower and I feel a bit better. It certainly woke me up! DS is going to be watching Agents of Shield with my brothers so I can have a lie down as well

Morning. Dry, overcast and cold here, only 10°C. No mini heat wave here so far and think we are out of the running for sunny climes. FBG 6.1 and thinking of lunch soon. :)

Today I decided to test a waitrose cook from frozen croissant, made with french butter.(19.3g carbs) This following a meal at friends last night, where the kind host proudly told me they had cook something special so I could eat it. Sadly decided that best for me was low fat and low sugar, not their fault thats what the wisdom of NICE says. So I had a plate of delicious pasta bake :angelic: I did not test afterwards!
This morning FBS was 7.0, which was a pleasant surprise in the circumstances. I decided that I might as well throw more carbs at my body as the BS were all to pot anyway.

The result after 1 hour 10.0 ( I sat reading the paper in the garden) and after 2 hours, and an hour of light weeding 5.4

I don't know what to make of the 2nd reading. Seems my insulin is a bit like the railways......we apologise for the late arrival....

Morning all. Got soaked yesterday got caught in thunderstorm! Rain came down with a vengeance, Buses every hour so had to phone for taxi!!! AnywAy recently I mentioned I think medicine was causing wind/gas, pharmacists suggested rennie deflatine tablets, only took one and I feel great! Bloating Gas everythink gone back to normal! Only took one tablet. Good day to you all

@maureen5752

The hug was for getting soaked and the expense of the taxi. Have a 'well done' (think sometimes you need to be able to do more than 1 rating) for getting rid of the wind. have a good day to you too.

Yippee!! I've finished work for the weekend and the sun's come out, so I'm off out into the garden to do my special impression of a layabout on a sunlounger for the rest of the afternoon!
:joyful:

Beautiful day here in Cambridge. Not a cloud in sight. Am just throwing salad together for lunch (much to my teenagers disgust - they are apalled that it might be healthy) and then plan to lie on mysunlounger with a good book. I usually only allow myself wine once a week, but am tempted to pour myself a nice cold glass of Pinit Grigio.....
