Type 2 Life

It was sweltering when I walked to my voluntary job but as soon as I left the shop the heavens opened! Good job I had my brolly :)

Beautiful Autumn morning here in Canberra. Looks like rain today and hopefully lots of it as it has been very dry since the start of the year. Its Mothers day for Aussie Mums so happy mothers day to all Mums on here.I have just cooked she who must be obeyed bacon and eggs before she heads off to a 3 day conference at Terrigal on the NSW North Coast. I will give my Mum "the wicked witch of the West" a call later this morning. Have a great day all
Cheers

Bit desperate tonight in Leipzig station so I ate KFC! Original recipe, I ate the skin though. Tested 90 minutes later (dug my monitor out as curious), up at 8.1. FBG will be interesting tomorrow me thinks ...

Glad to be home and back on the old LCHF - had awesome time but going away and remaining good control
Is hard.

Yes, its fabulous. Husband is just about to go off running and I am going to the gym, then we'll be spending the afternoon in the garden.

I had good readings all yesterday, but have just woken up to an fbg of 8.5. Grrr. I just can't get my fbg readings down, they are always 7s or 8s. I've tried eating a late night protein snack, not eating a snack, nothing works. However, since I started eating lchf, I have slept through the night for a straight 7 hours, which is bliss. I used to wake up at least once to go to the loo, and then couldn't get back to sleep for ages.

@TooManyCrisps enjoy the gym. I'm heading to the gardening shortly.
I'm not sure I ever "enjoy" the gym but I make myself go every day apart from Saturday. I have to say, when I got home from work on Friday and my husband was in the garden with a cold bottle of wine my resolve very nearly broke, but I did still go - then I came home and drank the wine!

Enjoy the gardening. We've just laid turf on part of our garden which means it's guaranteed not to rain for the next 2 weeks!

It's been chucking it down with rain here in South Gloucestershire this morning and it feels chilly again. The forecast is supposed to be good later on today, but I'll believe it when I see it! Lots of black clouds zipping about at present.
I don't know if it's weather-related or not, but I'm hobbling around this morning with pain in my lower shins. FBG 2 points higher than normal today, too. I spent most of yesterday sitting at my desk proofreading, which is never a good thing as my ankles are like footballs by the end of the day, so it's probably related to that. Harumpffff...... :sour:
Fun BBQ with the family and the Tiny Terrorists last night, though; the 2-year-old with a burger in one hand and a sausage in the other and a huge blissful grin on her face (she loves food), and the 3-year-old patiently explaining to me that she was enjoying just "halaxing" in the garden. Golden moments. :)
