Didn't see it but I think the healthy plate thing (if it was mentioned) probably is fine for Jo Public and had I eaten within those lines I wouldn't have become overweight and at risk of diabetes because of it. It's a maintenance for a healthy person, not a cure for diabetes.I supposed this is due to the latest report from the National Obesity Forum and the Public Health Collaboration released today, which says said most of what we have been told about healthy eating over the past 50 years was wrong. The news channels have leapt all over it this morning (and are mostly trying to rubbish it).

Hope it's of help. I believe it's not common so may not be something GP is fully aware ofThank you have passed this on to Ron .
Hi Johnny, that was an excellent blood glucose reading this morning and well done on the sweetners in your coffee too. I hope that you have a really good dayGood Morning, my lovely friends on the www.diabetes.co.uk Type 2 Life Forum,
I am posting to inform you all that at 7:38 am this morning, Monday 23rd May, 2016, after administering all my oral medication as prescribed, my Laxido Orange soluble laxative sachets and my 10 mcg of Lixisenatide glucagon-like peptide medication (injection), my blood glucose level was 5.8 Millimoles Per Litre. I've had a cup of coffee with coffeemate and three sweeteners and 4-5 hand-rolled cigarettes made from recycled tobacco. I don't feel hungry at all, and don't even feel like Marmite on Toast or any poached egg toasted sandwiches.
Yours faithfully,

Thank you Vicky. Its nice to know that there are people who care. Xxx@tina_marie Let him know we are here for him. Scream thread is brilliant to vent annoyance and stress. He might just need to scream it out.
It must be very hard for you. If it's any consolation I've been where you are. Cannot take their pain away and a bouncing ball for their frustration and upset.
They always feel more comfortable releasing their stress on their loved one.
I knew it must have been difficult for you but I didn't want to barge in.
Of course it's hard for him but you need support too to be able to support him.
We are here. For both of you, in different ways.
Pm people if you feel Ron doesn't want to have everything on threads.
Although others who watch but never post can take heart from Ron and your experience and strength. ♡♥♡
It will be something we can make a start on . Thanks .Hope it's of help. I believe it's not common so may not be something GP is fully aware of
I'm not surprised with what's going on. I'm exactly the same when there's a worry in the house.Forgot to take my Insulin yesterday! Took the Metformin throughout the day, but could not fathom out why? My tests during the day were much higher, even before bed at 1am it was 22.4. It was only this morning when I went to inject myself found the pen already set and needle attached that I realised not had any yesterday.
Rons just txt me, his afternoon bg is 4.2 this is just before leaving work.his BG reading this morning was 4.9 and this lunch time hes 4.8 and totally knackered as his works have put him back on his normal job . Even though his doctors letter has said light duties.
