Didn't see it but I think the healthy plate thing (if it was mentioned) probably is fine for Jo Public and had I eaten within those lines I wouldn't have become overweight and at risk of diabetes because of it. It's a maintenance for a healthy person, not a cure for diabetes.I supposed this is due to the latest report from the National Obesity Forum and the Public Health Collaboration released today, which says said most of what we have been told about healthy eating over the past 50 years was wrong. The news channels have leapt all over it this morning (and are mostly trying to rubbish it).

@ickihun (was it) who said about not losing weight on LCHF ? I recall posting on threads and saying similar to be greeted by the response of what do you expect eating all that fat (cheese & butter) with the carbs YOU eat (a person who's posts I have now blocked (ignored). I was eating to my meter with the carbs so bs fine BUT another, rather more kindly poster explained that eating to my meter was WAY too HIGH carbs for me to lose weight. They have to be ULTRA LOW. So I'm back to cutting back on the butter.
