Poor Ron, and poor you, too - it's horrible seeing someone you love in pain and not being able to do anything about it. Makes you feel so frustrated, angry and helpless. I suppose all you can do is what you are doing; supporting him and trying to keep his spirits up.I'm on a low today ,getting fed up waiting for Rons XRay results . Ron rung them on Monday and he was promised they would be here today but nothing . Rons in agony .
Been down to the hospital and been told 6weeks wait . When Ron phoned Monday they said they would chase it , they haven't so guess who kicked off?Poor Ron, and poor you, too - it's horrible seeing someone you love in pain and not being able to do anything about it. And, as they say, "it's the squeaky hinge which gets the most oiling". So the more you can make a nuisance of yourself, the quicker you'll get the answers you're waiting for.
Big hugs x
Good for you!Been down to the hospital and been told 6weeks wait . When Ron phoned Monday they said they would chase it , they haven't so guess who kicked off?
It's hard to fight a craving...slipped myself. Bought peanut M&Ms which I know I can eat in small quantities. I usually buy the fun size bags and will just have one bag. This was a box and I said to myself "about 10" should be about a small bag....so I had 5, then 5 more and then.....Well all the Orange ones are now gone, I stopped then ... I guess next time, the box is open but I won't touch them again today, it will be a run on another colour....I WILL learn eventually...I've had a bit of a slip today. I was late in taking my meds today and made several cups of coffee each with 3 sugars and consumed a shepherd's pie ready meal from the supermarket called Iceland that my Carer got for me last Thursday. I took it out of the freezer and microwaved it on full power for 10 minutes.
My blood sugar at 4:44 pm was 6.4.
I intend to try harder to stick to sweeteners and really fight the urge to go back to sugar. Autistic people have preoccupations with certain foods/drinks and sometimes crave sugar. I must try harder.
I saw my friend Gary and he gave me some tobacco and I enjoyed smoking it.
Ron had hypo at work reading of 2.8.@tina_marie hope it's starts to get better soon.... (just quoted a longer post tha n yours yet yours won't work)
Can you tell me if it is common for people who are only on metformin to have hypos.Ron had hypo at work reading of 2.8.
@tina_marie it isn't common on metformin but there is a thread about that somewhere. Might be under medications. Can you tell me if it is common for people who are only on metformin to have hypos.
Does Ron like pork s scratchings? Thanks, I know he has been very stressed out lately with what has been going on . He does eat regular and takes meds on time . Today he has eaten 79 grams in carbs . A bit low I know . He has been taking extra breaks at work . The hypo happened at 12.30 his lunch break was at 1. He came home tonight starving hungry and is now in bed as it has taken its toll. He hasn't been very steady on his feet either tonight. I hope it is a one off. Hes taking Friday off and seeing gp.
. You can have hypos for several reasons even on metformin, I've had them, I know of othere's the same, I'm not saying it's metformin, many things can cause hypos, but nothink should be ruled out, it could be stress, illness, late eating ect@tina_marie it isn't common on metformin but there is a thread about that somewhere. Might be under medications.
If you have trouble post us and someone will point you in the right direction.
