Type 2 Life

Thanks @Sable_Jan the Diabetic Nurse said to cut back on the Black Coffee and try to drink more water than I presently do. I took the empty box of Cystocalm and showed the Nurse and she OK'd it, so we bought some more. :)

The problem is Kingsmill and Queens / City hospital are not on the same system so they are not connected so every thing has to be sent physically. by post or courier.

Sorry I have been corrected the imaging can be exported and imported but the hold up is that the radiological report cannot and it is quite often the case that the department at Kingsmill can often be waiting weeks for the reports from radiological department.
Thanks for the info . I wasn't quite sure of how things work up here as I'm not originally from this neck of the woods.

I know it's a weird photo to take but I first saw this feather on the path at teatime and the droplets are still standing there. Just shows what good weather protection the birds have (even tho I guess this is "inside out")
....and it's an excellent demonstration of the source of the dirty great greasy splodge that the pigeons make when they crash into my windows (and scare the pants off me!).

Good Morning, my lovely friends on the www.diabetes.co.uk type two life forum,

I am posting to inform you that after nearly 24 hours of absenteeism from this awesome site that I had a good day yesterday and attended the Expert Patients Programme at a health centre near to where I live. I referred to the textbook when I got back home and checked all the statistics in it pertaining to self-management. I had an Ocean Pie Ready Meal yesterday for my lunch. My Carer came and went to Asda to buy me some groceries, tobacco, cigarette papers and top up my Oyster Card that enables me to load credit on my bus pass to enable me to travel around London on the buses. I'll soon be getting my Freedom Pass back for my disability.

My blood sugar, this morning, at 6:30 am, on Friday 27th May, 2016, after taking my meds, was 6.1 mmol.

Have a lovely day.

Yours faithfully,

Well done Johnny - great reading!

Good morning to you Johnny, that's a very good reading. I went on the EPP course with my mum several years ago as her carer and I still have the book they gave me, I hope you find it useful.

I had a full "bird print" on my bedroom window a while back...head body and wings....don't know how it managed to survive but no dead bird on the ground below

Thank you, @Diamum5972 my dear friend. I am enjoying the book very much because there's a lot factual statistics in there which I've memorised as I'm not good with devouring fiction reading matter in my Asperger's as I seem to think it's a form of deception and lie-telling. I feel as pleased and as proud as Punch of my 6.1 reading. I couldn't have done it if it wasn't for this awesome forum. Have a really lovely day, it's beginning to get warm in South London.

@13lizanne - Thank You Anna for the pre-Birthday Wishes. I am sat waiting (as usual) to go out, but was asked to be ready for 11am. The weather is dismal and looks like rain? William x :)

Hope the weather stays fine for you. Guess you were ready a bit early but hope you weren't kept waiting
In case I forget tomorrow I will also send you early birthday greetings

Well done on that 6.1
There is logic behind your comments about fiction that I can understand. If it isn't fact, the truth, then it's Untrue, a lie. Even in the tv shows (CSI etc) I watch when someone has made an untrue statement it sometimes gets called "a work of fiction"
Have a great day, hope the sun keeps shining for you.... and sweetener s for every cup of coffee

It's amazing, isn't it? One flew into the kitchen window last week when I was standing at the sink peeling sprouts - I didn't see it coming and the first I knew of it was this horrendous crash 2 feet away from my head! The whole window frame shuddered and I nearly collapsed with shock.

The dopey woodpigeon just sat there on the floor, shook his head a couple of times, and then flew away!

Good afternoon, my lovely friends on the www.diabetes.co.uk type two life forum,

I've had a good, productive day today. I have been making cups of coffee for my good friends Lee, Steve and Mary, watching CBeebies, smoking occasional, but not incessant, roll ups, 4 mugs of coffee with coffeemate and 3 sweeteners each, 8 glasses of tap water and had very good readings after my breakfast which was 2 slices of Marmite on Toast, and the reading then was 7.3, then for my lunch as a pre-meal aperitif I ate 2 slices of Marmite and bread and then for my lunch a chicken curry and rice ready meal. My blood sugar at a considerable length of time afterwards was 6.8. I've done really well not to be tempted by sugar in my coffee and eating sensibly and 'little but often' like my elderly Diabetic Dad advised once.

Yours faithfully,

Home, hungry and glad it's a long weekend. FBG today of 6.9 and pre dinner injection 7.7. :)

I made a huge mistake at 4:30 pm and had 4 whole Marmite sandwiches with 8 slices of Kingsmill white bread and thickly-spread Marmite. At 5:15 pm, my blood sugar read an outstandingly concerning 13.1.

I know that the impulsivity and poor judgement orientation in my Adult ADHD may have precipitated this. I was doing so well with previous posts heralding my achievements. I felt like I'd overcomed massive hurdles and came up to a brick wall whilst running and hit it with such great velocity that I knocked myself out. Now I feel sad, discouraged and disappointed in myself.

But there's no room for self-pity. I have to continue trying and just try to hydrate myself with plenty of tap water to lower the glycaemia and adopt the same healthy attitude that I have originally maintained.

Much love to everyone on www.diabetes.co.uk.
