Type 2 Life

Hello Folks - Just to give you all an update. Been to Hospital today and seen the Rheumatologist. Have had more blood tests done and X Ray's taken of: Neck, Shoulders and upper Spine, Pelvis and Hips, Hands and Feet and then had 2 Steroid Injections . Rheumatologist reckons the Arthritis has spread!!! (Told her that!) To go back in 6 weeks time, but she hopes the Steriod Injections will give me some relief, and then tomorrow have my other Injection of Cosentyx. :) Seeing the Dermatologist on Wednesday, then Thursday having the Ultrasound Scan on my Liver at the Hospital.
Ahhh, William, you poor thing - you'll probably glow in the dark when you turn the lights off tonight!!
Will the steroids put your BGs up, do you think?
Regardless, I hope they give you some relief from the pain.
Big hugs xx

Boy! William you do have a lot to deal with. Bless you.
You do brilliantly. I would be such a moaner if I had your complaint. You keep me going, and many others. Thank you for being you! ♡♥♡

Hopefully get my print off on monday at specialist.
Hba1c up to 61 from 54 because of canagliflozin nonsense.
My next one should be much much better. Fingers crossed. :-)

William, you get a gold star for being a brave fellow! Many people don't have even one ailment which causes chronic pain and you have so many painful conditions that you live with every day. You always have such empathy and sympathy for others and we all, as Vicki says, think you are bl**dy marvellous. Have a pampering evening and tell R he has to wait on you hand and foot So sorry that you have so much to cope with, hope that you can have a good sleep tonight

Hi. If R could get on here - he would tell you all what a moaning whinger I really am.
But, it is YOU All that give me the encouragement to keep going, don't know what I would do without all of You. :).
R went up to the Allotment and picked a lot of My Strawberries, and we have just have them with Wall's Ice-Cream. And they were yummy.:D
Yes, it was mentioned that blood sugars may rise with the steroid injections, - but, I feel subduing pain is more important to me.
Thank You Everyone for keeping me going.:):) William xx

@Sable_Jan - Was "terrified" someone or something would bump/knock it. And asked the Rheumatologist = Please don't touch it, cos you will have to scrape me off the ceiling. And Bless Her, she didn't go near it. We were at the Hospital for 3 hours and my knee - it is "gnawing at me" if you know what I mean? Thanks :(
You have my sympathy liam, hopefully you bounce back better and stronger in no time at all, fingers
Crossed x

Ooh, I've had some lovely Scottish strawberries...Got half a dozen left for tonight's. Huge sweet ones and price per kilo worked out cheaper than the tiny basics ones. Can't remember the last time I had such big sweet ones says use by 27th but as I didn't refrigerate at home I found one growing a fur coat, it musn't have thought kitchen was warm enuf
I meant to add that intense pain is just as likely to put the bs up so it's pain relief every time....might as well be comfortable

Sending you massive hugs William, hope the steroids will give you some relief

Afternoon everyone, hope you're all doing as well as can be.

How are you? I hear you all asking. Well I'm ecstatic, feel as though I'm in Heaven, couldn't be better. Wow, what caused this? you ask. Cos there's 3 flaming football matches on, could anything be better?
How about walking through hot coals, cutting the lawn with a nail scissors, eating semolina pudding, plucking your armpits, you choose.

If anyone loves ice-cream (and you haven't already tried it) the new Kelly's clotted cream ice-cream is gorgeous particularly with strawberries. The others are a bit too sweet (only know cos hubby loves ice-cream and I have to lick the spoon after dishing out).

Thought there was only Wales v Northern Ireland on today. Probs cos they're the team's I've got flagged on the App.

I always used to LOVE Kelly's icecream, particularly the strawberry one, but aren't they high in carbs due to the sugar?
And have you tried popping the trip-switch and rushing through the house yelling "FIRE!!!" as an alternative to the football? Works a treat! :)

No, Switzerland v Poland on BBC now

Wales v N. Ireland kick off 5.00pm BBC

Portugal v ? ITV prog starts at 7 or 7.30pm

and at half times we get either horse-racing or something like 'How is it Made'. I can't stand the excitement.

1st question = Probably, but only have it as a treat and not too much.

2nd question = need a steps for the trip-switch and he'd be too busy laughing if he saw me trying to rush anywhere.

Got the footie on but not really watching it. Waiting for old lady GSD Bonnie to come and meet Rocks, he's an old boy too but doesn't think so. She doesn't either in her head but has CDRM in her rear left leg

Does she have a GSoH and an interest in travel and meeting new dogs? :)

Afternoon peeps. FBG 9.2 mmol/l. Wondered why ? Thrush is sort of clearing, still using Canesten HC cream and Nystatin 100,000 IU Oral Suspension for my thrush. My guts have eventually got back to normal and wish no more courses of antibiotics for a long time lol. Picking up but have no real energy today and feel lethargic physically. :)
