I've had a scan before @liam1955 . is it an ultrascan?
Mine discovered fatty liver, a little.
My enzymes have decreased hugely on lchf and it looks on the face of it that my fatty liver has gone.
I quizzed specialist and asked him outright if fruit can cause fatty liver. He said fruit will have increased my bgs hence fatty liver.
Do you eat much fruit?
I was eating 3-4 pieces a day before lchf as I only liked a little veg.
See what results say. I'm sure something can be tweeked if necessary.
I know you've always said the biopsy was needed because of irregularity. What was the results hun?

Hi Vicky , I did work part time but with overtime as well . I gave it up to look after Ron as he was struggling and though that it was better to be here where I could be on hand when needed. My employer made it very difficult to keep working and do that at the same time . They made it clear that if I didn't work when they needed me to then they would have no choice but to sack me .
That's disgusting. What did your HR or union say about it all?
I think they use 'the business needs' into account, even when covering childcare.
I hope they appreciate you more now, now you're gone!
Sometimes starting a new job and they know from the start your responsibilities it causes less bitching from the staff. Other staff members are an influence on bosses.
Again, just think about a fresh start with a company who will appreciate your skills. You are very thorough and a good manager. You're managing Ron, very well. lol You cope very well with changes. So very adaptable in your attitude.
Your C.V should look very positive and enthusiastic.
It's exciting when looking for a job. I wonder who you'll work for next?
I wish you every success, if that's the way you go.
Make it clear only part-time hours is suitable from the start.
If I can help PM me.
It has to suit your family commitments. Sometimes worth searching for the right hours for you. It will take time but just give it a consideration?
Unfortunately Ron might get worse if the high sugars are still damaging his system. The only way forward is for Ron to manage his foods which trigger high bgs. Time to go and do light exercise swimming or painfree , stressfree walking and active at work part-time.
Most HR in companies know how activity stressfree can keep their employees healthy.
@tina_marie you can look after @eldergarth in keeping him active. At the level which is helpful to you both.
Just have a think about things? Just something to keep in mind?
No pressure. Stress free is good.

@ickihun - Hi Vicky.:). Just received this morning a copy of the letter sent to my GP from the Liver Specialist. It says: My LFT's blood results have been abnormal for a number of years, and they are somewhat difficult to interpret, and could possibly indicate NAFLD, but could be a possibility of other Aetiologies. And He noticed I have 'Liver Palms' (very red palms of the hands). Go's on to say: The Fibroscan showed a degree of Fibrosis and the Liver stiffness would be at the advanced end of the fibrosis spectrum. Ideally I should have a Liver Biopsy done, but before invasive tests are carried out, a Ultrasound Scan and extensive blood test to be done (had the blood tests done yesterday) and scan this afternoon. And the answer to your question: do I eat a lot of fruit? = No. Eat grapes once a week and 3 maybe 4 Bananas a week. William x. Oh and my BMI has been reduced since a month ago.:) I am seeing Practise Diabetic Nurse this afternoon about my blood sugars (I am really Pucked Off!!!) Then shooting off to get to the Hospital for 5.20pm Appointment Scan. Then to my Sisters for meal, will be home by 10pm'ish. Have a good day everyone.:)

Thank god they are there to sort this out. I guess once totally diagnosed they can try and help you out.
You must be very tired some days?
You do brilliantly.
Thank god for the nhs.
Just a thought.... will low oxygen in your red blood cells be affecting your fibrosis? Or repair of the liver?

@Twoplayer - Well Done, a fantastic number of 41 :) - that puts you in the 'normal' category of HBA1C.

Tomorrow will be a brighter day.
When too many hospital appointments it gets me down too.
At least you are attending them and you're getting help.
God knows what would have happened if you didnt get help for your arthritis?
You are doing brilliantly.
Maybe tomorrow a day of no medical issues, just fun?
It can get too heavy.

See you later for some giggles.
Mind u if you're having a late night it might be late giggles.
Hopefully your sister will cheer you up too.
Ps. Does she know that you have skinny blood. I'm jealous.
Ive never had anything skinny. Not even skinny jeans.
Oh. I tell a lie. I've had a skinny latte!
Looking forward to seeing your posts later.
Is R good at cheering you up? Tell me all later.
You'll be ok William. You know that. ♡♥♡

Yay ... got the OK from the doc today to reduce my Glic further.

Half a pill (40gr) daily for a few weeks, and if still in single figures after that, I can stop taking it - but meantime, keep monitoring and testing bloods.

I love my doctor .... x

So really fruit can't be a culprit, carbs can be, and probably are, the more likely culprit (if the fatty liver developed before bgs were controlled)

I've been working this afternoon and I was sent a promo piece for proofreading which made me think of you - the Night Owls' Guide to Nightlife in York. Such venues as The Hop, the Evil Eye, Revolution, Rustique, The York Roast Co, Little Italy and Fibbers were mentioned. Sounds like a pretty fun place!
:)
@debrasue have you been to York? I love the place. A bigger version of Durham. Very interesting place too.
Lets hijack William and take him out for an evening! All girls together.
Maybe i should get married and have my hen party in York?

Apparently too much fruit can contribute to that.

Does not surprise me.

Before I was diagnosed I had loads of fruit daily, grapes, a banana, satsuma and anything else going .....
