Hi Vicky , I did work part time but with overtime as well . I gave it up to look after Ron as he was struggling and though that it was better to be here where I could be on hand when needed. My employer made it very difficult to keep working and do that at the same time . They made it clear that if I didn't work when they needed me to then they would have no choice but to sack me .
That's disgusting. What did your HR or union say about it all?
I think they use 'the business needs' into account, even when covering childcare.
I hope they appreciate you more now, now you're gone!
Sometimes starting a new job and they know from the start your responsibilities it causes less bitching from the staff. Other staff members are an influence on bosses.
Again, just think about a fresh start with a company who will appreciate your skills. You are very thorough and a good manager. You're managing Ron, very well. lol You cope very well with changes. So very adaptable in your attitude.
Your C.V should look very positive and enthusiastic.
It's exciting when looking for a job. I wonder who you'll work for next?
I wish you every success, if that's the way you go.
Make it clear only part-time hours is suitable from the start.
If I can help PM me.
It has to suit your family commitments. Sometimes worth searching for the right hours for you. It will take time but just give it a consideration?
Unfortunately Ron might get worse if the high sugars are still damaging his system. The only way forward is for Ron to manage his foods which trigger high bgs. Time to go and do light exercise swimming or painfree , stressfree walking and active at work part-time.
Most HR in companies know how activity stressfree can keep their employees healthy.
@tina_marie you can look after
@eldergarth in keeping him active. At the level which is helpful to you both.
Just have a think about things? Just something to keep in mind?
No pressure. Stress free is good.
