X (hug)
Poor Ron - is he OK, Tina?Rons had another seizure tonight . He was wide awake ,so fully aware of what happened.x
Bit of a numb head and his coordination isn't quite right . He'll be fine though. This time our son witnessed it as well.Poor Ron - is he OK, Tina?
Oh, dear - how old is your son?Bit of a numb head and his coordination isn't quite right . He'll be fine though. This time our son witnessed it as well.
Oh bless him.Rons had another seizure tonight . He was wide awake ,so fully aware of what happened.x
22 hes the youngest .Oh, dear - how old is your son?
Bless him, that's young to have to deal with seeing his dad go through all this...22 hes the youngest .
Everybody on here have been wonderful including yourself. I don't know what we would of done without you all.i know there are support groups for people with epilepsy but we don't know what he has or what the cause of it is. I wish the so called medical staff would get there finger out and stop dragging there heels. To be honest right from the start even with his diabetic care it has been ****. I've learnt so much from you all . I never knew of so many complications that can arise from diabetes alone. Now all this will be back soon .Oh bless him.
@tina_marie is there a support team for him. Like our diabetic team but for his neurogical problems?
We are lucky to have some great diabetic support under the nhs and here.
I wish I knew more so I could help you and Ron more.
I hope me being a part-time listener is enough. I do worry sometimes I am not enough for Ron's medical problems and support for you?
Do you feel your both getting enough support?
Thank you all, having a bit of a melt down. Rons in bed now it makes him very tired .Bless him, that's young to have to deal with seeing his dad go through all this...
I agree with @ickihun abut the support network, but I suppose until you actually know definitively what's causing it, it's difficult to find the right support. But even if we can't offer practical help on the forum, you know we're all here for you and Ron...
Massive hugs xxx
Long may it continue!Morning, FBG 5.7 mmol/l, raining heavy and having breakfast. Getting used to my 3 injections a day now.
He forgot to take his painkillers this morning. He woke with a headache and while he still has it there usually isn't any problems ,its when his head is numb that the problems start. He had a few tremors in the night . Will know more at 4.30 when hes home. Still not heard from neurologist. How are you?
Still in pain but trying to keep off co-codamol as very addictive I understand. I've gone from no painkillers to 8 per day. 6 co-codamol and 2 naproxen. Which I'm in bed very dopey but due co-codamol tablets. I'm trying to wait til a few hours time to get the best out of them near bedtime. He forgot to take his painkillers this morning. Ron still carries the shopping even though he struggles with pain. Bag in one hand stick in other.Still in pain but trying to keep off co-codamol as very addictive I understand. Did shopping this morning on naproxen only and was in agony.
Now other half has pain in his elbows. Some people! He'll do anything out of carrying shopping or packing at cash-out. That's probably why my back and pelvis is broke! Carrying toddler around too.
He said "I don't think we'll carry toddler around now". No because its his turn to do the lifting and carrying. Silly me for carrying everything from the start!
I say in a loud voice "I CANNOT CARRY HIM ANYMORE". No offer. I now also walk away. ...... he gets the picture. Shame I have to do that. I blame hubbies mother for his non committal to helping with shopping. He does loads in and out of the house. Well his half share.
