Woke with 3yr old, need to go back to bed. Hope everyone nurse their lurgies to give them short thrift. My multivitamins have been a godsend. Bought more yesterday. When I returned from my slow attempt of shopping my feet were like balloons, not like me at all. :(
I try and help myself to cope better and I end up with another problem. What a life!

I have Asperger Syndrome which is an autism spectrum condition and a full diagnosis of Adult ADHD which are characterised by impairments in social communication, social interaction and social imagination. I also have a rigid and somewhat unpredictable routine. I also experience obsessive rituals, some a bit overwhelming. But I have a talent in articulate creative writing skills and possess a photographic rote memory. I have sensory sensitivity and get upset by loud noises, bright colours or lights, and notice the texture and consistency of certain foods more making my dietary choices extremely limited or restricted to certain food components. I dislike conflict and lies. The Adult ADHD also makes me very moody and cross.
Good Morning, my friends,

I had a good night's sleep last night and awoke this morning to Lee ringing my intercom very tunefully at quarter to four ante meridian. We watched the news on BBC News 24 together just after watching Way Of The Master on Revelation Christian Television on Sky.

With regards to the miscomprehension over my being misled by a Christian friend, I have a long, dear friendship with the gentleman since 1995-1996 when I first moved to South London from my one bedroomed council flat in East Finchley, in the London Borough of Barnet. We pray together, more recently we watch Revelation together on Sky Channel 581, he has been my mentor and inspiration in the Christian faith in a boundless and insurmountable fashion. His elderly wife, Claudette, a person originally from Trinidad, brought to my attention the command from the Lord to bring all tithes and offerings to the temple so there may be meat in due season (Malachi Chapter 3). I went about this the wrong way, and I sincerely and humbly apologise. The only reason why I can't submit the tithe personally to St Mark's Church, Kennington, where Matthew and Claudette are in attendance, is because (a) my musculoskeletal pain/discomfort makes me housebound and makes any form of walking a nightmare and (b) because of feeling anxious and socially disinhibited with my autism spectrum disability. Being able to get out of the flat and frequent the library to log on to this impeccable forum is a real honour and a privilege because I love you guys so much. This gives me an incentive to get out more often and use my crutch more often. Thank you from my heart for giving me that valuable motivation to not only manage my diabetes better but to stay active in the community where I live as well as the online community. Bless you all.

My fasting blood glucose reading today was 5.1 Millimoles Per Litre just before I ate a tomato sandwich.

Love you lots

Johnny, you are an inspiration to all of us! I have enormous admiration for the way in which you so cheerfully manage your range of challenges (not the least of which being Lee "tunefully" ringing your intercom at 4am!!:eek::eek:) and I really look forward to reading your interesting and informative posts and hearing about your many successes. I hope you have a happy and peaceful evening tonight and I wish you a very Happy New Year!
Hugs x

Well guys we fought through 2016 like true diabetic soldiers. We are here to conquer 2017 too. I'm sure a less dramatic year, for us all.
Statistically we will all experience great delights this year. For one I'm excited about the changes expected. No fear, from me. Although I will have my moments.
My nanas death in 2016 was followed by a new addition to our family. A puppy! We adore her.
I take my nana's life experience into the new year and nurture my fond memories.
Here's to 2017 everyone. Share the magic. :) :) :)

Happy new year to my friends here! Last night was a low point when I hoovered a box of mint thins (they weren't that thin LOL) and half a box of Benedicts mints :) probably now had a week of naughtiness if honest.

Now feeling rubbish but have been better today - we went to a burger joint for lunch and I told them to leave the bun off, no chips etc - with extra Parma ham on the side :) Interestingly reminded this week how I felt dreadful like this last Christmas just before diagnosis.

We are off to a client's fancy house in Regents Park for a party - I've just eaten at home to avoid carby canapés - I'll just stick to the red wine!! Tomorrow is a new day and I'll be swimming at 9am!

Have a great night friends, and thank you for the ongoing support. This forum saves lives :):):)

Happy New Year to everyone! I've got 13 to lunch so have got loads of low carb foods such as meat, cheese, salads and not so low carb like bread rolls, crackers, crisps and easy to cook 'finger foods'. My brother is also T 2 so I've got pavlova, cheesecake and sugar-free jelly for dessert. Back to work on Tuesday so it will be back on the wagon as well!!

Off for my afternoon nap before painkillers run out. The nap replaces the need for more meds. Its working fine when I haven't an appointment. Alternative is I'm ready for bed like an old person at 9pm. Saving my liver from addition painkillers.

Am looking forward to getting back to normal! I swam 2km this morning (furthest ever!) but have been a little naughty as my partner's daughter was here. Am entertaining my parents tomorrow (all good stuff though), then 2 more days and back to work on Thursday.

Anyone else have no idea what day it is :)

Woke on a medium fbg but ate a few nuts and went back to bed. It reduced 4mmol/l with liver dump and no stress.
I know how my body works its just keeping up with it. lol
By the way , that's with carbs and no insulin. I remembered one metformin but forgot later one which is my new starting med level after being off it some time.
No stress and rest for me reduces my high bgs. Always has. Shame life wasn't like that!
I know a few poster who when on holiday or having a relaxing tipple have reduced bgs.
Stress can make a huge difference to daily bgs. Even stress you don't realise IS affecting you.
Painkillers are helping my bgs. Diuretic is taking pressure off my body too.
Having bariatric surgery and reducing my weight should do the same thing. Take pressure off my body and lower bgs. Less or no insulin.....I can taste the possibility.
2017 has the possibility of being the best year I've had since my surprise of getting pregnant on metformin only after failed ivf. :) :) :)

I'm graduating my re-LCHF acclimatisation:)

Lots of turkey, roasties, wine and champers a plenty, bars of Lindt, mince pies etc.

I realised yesterday, it was time to get back on the wagon when I had heartburn and a mild headache...first time for both in 9 months....so my body is giving me the nudge and I'm responding from yesterday, when I kicked off with a 5k run:).

I'm going dry and 25g LCHF for a couple of months just to jump start my system!!
Ah, THERE you are. We've been wondering, on What Are You Doing Right Now thread where you were!! Now I've found you I can report back and say all is well other than an over indulgence of seasonal treats :D
