@Rose88 could it be a metformin upset tummy? If new to metformin it can take a few weeks to settle in. I'm on metformin again after a years break. I can feel its benefit now but it has on occasion upset my tum.
Welcome to the forums. Have you see @daisy1 's introductory info? I found it a great help and revert back to it from time to time for a refresher.
Wow. Another diabetic with inflammation as a problem. It seems part and parcel with diabetes, for some.Hello @ickihun I was on SR metformin for many years and suffered with nausea, diarrhoea, bloating, and vomiting. Doctors just brushed it off and kept saying its the side effects of metformin and will settle. I also have IBS and a couple of years ago things got worse, had lots of tests done and was diagnosed with colitisI no longer take metformin.
My diet is ridiculous and food is my enemy, I dont find eating a pleasure as I'm always having to be wary of how foods might effect me.
Anyway feeling brave, last week I wanted to try low carbing and introduced hard cheese .. I haven't had cheddar cheese for a long time and it let me know that it doesn't like me
Have you tried taking the metformin with food, say half way through your meal?
No I havent seen @daisy1 introductory info yet.
Hello @Rose88- What medication (if any?) are you taking for the Diabetes.
And the fact that you have been having tummy troubles all week could be responsible for pushing up your Blood Sugars.! When we are ill, stressed, worried, taking certain medications all have an effect on our Diabetes.
