Type 2 Life

Hi @maureen5752 the only way I know to bring BG levels down is to go for a long walk and drink loads of water. I realise the walk might not be possible for you Maureen but maybe just walking on the spot?
Thanks for answering, pharmacy told me steroids send sugars high, plus I've got plurisey, I've been drinking water and have a stationary bike so I will try that, don't like going out in dark as I walk with stick, and it's late. My sugars were in the 5/6's now high. Thanks so much, really appreciate it, great help and people on this site. Thanks agsin

@muzza3 has it been 3 months already since you stopped metformin? Doesn't time fly when you're having fun!
It is very interesting how it all pans out.
ND would work short term for me. I've history of intermittent fasting diets. I'm back to bigger than ever. :-(
Yes three months since I stopped the Metformin. I made the decision myself after three weeks on the ND. I expected to get a bollocking from my GP when I owned up but when he saw my record of BG Readings he said it was the right thing to do. It has been a great three months (not all fun) but I am seriously aware of the dangers of yo-yo effects and I still have to hit my original weight goal. The great people of this forum, such as yourself, have helped keep me focused and LCHF is a permanent part of my ongoing diet

@muzza3, Hi Muzza I'm new to all of this, so would you mind explaining what a Newcastle Meds is, your not talking Newcastle brown are you?
Just wondered.

Squeeky

On Wednesday I had my Mam and my Niece come over from Dublin and my cousin came down from Manchester so its been a very busy few days - the house is deathly quiet now without them.

William, I hate it when the bag looks humungous but there's only a few in it, I'd write and complain and maybe they'd send you a box full of them :)

@paula.nolan42 - 2 months will pass before you know it, and you have all of us on here - your "adopted family" to keep you entertained.:)

Think it was full of air to make it look fuller!!!:D No, honestly - when I ate just the 5 - had to eat another 5 and another 5 and could not stop till they were gone!

As long as you enjoyed them and they didn't mess too much with your bloods.

I've just sat through Jurassic World, what a waste of time.
@liam1955, @paula.nolan42 and anyone else still here, good night & sweet dreams, see you later today.

William, I hope you have a good sleep tonight with as little pain and discomfort as possible. xx

At this time I am not too worried if my bloods are high, pain makes me quite weary and a wee bit depressed - eating chocolate makes me happy.:D
Good Night Karen and chat tomorrow. William x
