Type 2 Life

I've been wondering why the powers to be only want fasting readings and no help to those who ask questions. All I can think of is that someone is wanting to use the information for statistical reasons and they don't want to wade through messages answering questions.

That's interesting, I was wondering that too. In my view, a list of numbers without any context is meaningless and unhelpful. Posting "5.2" means nothing, whereas "5.2 today, down from my usual 7+. I've noticed that when i eat cheese in the evening I always have a lower reading the next morning" is potentially useful to others who could then try that out for themselves.

When I first discovered this forum a few weeks ago I think I asked quite a few questions on that thread, and some very kind people told me about dawn phenomenon, liver dumps etc. I found that invaluable. I didn't know that I was supposed to start a new thread to ask those sorts of questions - it's very difficult for newbies to know what's allowed or not allowed. I mean, I knew I shouldn't ask questions sbout, say, exercise on it but I genuinely thought questions/comments associated with FBG were allowed.

Morning all, my local library is having a book and DVD sale this morning so I'm going there soon. My mum usually goes there to see if they have any talking books so I'm going to meet her there.

Happy Saturday everyone - I am off to the Local Martello Tower in Eastbourne today - giving tours to those that want them :) Fingers crossed that the weather improves.

Does anyone use yahoo.co.uk email? I haven't been able to log in to my email account today, it keeps telling me my password is invalid and to try again, though I am putting in the correct password. Is this happening to anyone else?

@TooManyCrisps it's not easy when coming onto the forums with this and that, glad to see your still posting. The FBG thread does have some history, which as a newbie you won't know about and it is difficult to dig back and see what happened. The previous thread just blew up when one or two folk really did push the limits, a number were suspended for a week or two and others "flounced" off.
The reason I posted just my FBG for such a long time as I took it as part of my routine testing, once it settled down I was not too sure what the point was for me to post. Constantly low readings can send mixed signals to newbies or those who are struggling with control.
You got from this thread what it is intended to provide, really a place to ask questions from a group. If at any time you want to more information that can't be got here do ask away in a forum that you think is appropriate, there are a number.
You're doing good.

I could have danced all night - or watched Flavia and Vincent dance rather. DIL and I loved the show, the men had a long walk and a cuppa! while we were gone and everyone was happy - Except! My bloods were 9.3!!!! before bed, usually 4 or 5 point something -well, I don't get out much and they were back to normal this morning :)
Glad to hear the dancing went well. I think Flavia was one of top dancers

Mine seems okay.

Hi everyone,

Hope it's a good day all round, hugs free to all who need or want them :).

Pretty decent readings today, all in the 6's so far, definitely steering clear of the scones though.
My BP will be rising soon, hubby has the remote glued to his hand and the channel is changing every 2 minutes, everything from 'Ello Ello', gorillas, police, cooking, farming (in Welsh), now it's Wayne Rooney, whoopy do. And I mustn't forget I have horse racing to look forward to :meh:.

Had my first post-diagnosis eye test this morning. Very relieved to find that there is no sign of damage and everything is as it should be. I think a celebratory postprandial slice of low-carb Stracciatella cake is in order! :)

Tested my bloods feeling very weak and shaky reading 4.8 is this a normal feeling with this reading as it's low but didn't think was low enough to class as hypo

@Prem51 - Thanks for explaining the PM, don't like abbreviation's and I try not to use them if I can. Pleased you can get into Yahoo now.:)
