do all type two diabetics need to monitor their blood levels as I have never been told to I am on metformin 4x500 mg per day

I was told I didn't need to, but wasn't on meds, I became very ill, bgs went up to 23.4, they immediately gave me a meter & meds to test. I myself think testing is the best think as you can see what foods spike your sugars but each to their own. Good luck & welcome to the forum

I'm thankful you're not in that nightmare now. You must be so happy now.
I know there is always people far worse off than me but when it's your family letting you down it cuts deep. Family is very very important to me but many take itfor granted. I don't. Never will. I out a lot of effort in and hopefully my children will do the same. My little family are very very close and I like that. It's important to have good relationships which get nutured and prosper.
Shame lazy people don't put their imput in to. Disgrace really.

As the saying goes blood is thicker than water, family are precious, no ones perfect, both my parents died while I was abroad, so difficult even now, we take the good with the bad so don't worry enjoy the time you have with family

Hi all got back about half hour ago, same nurse zzzzzz. Said eye ok keep taking drops for few days then book for eye test. If other eye detaches or see flashes or 'spiders' come to A&E said no idea why I have halos or diagnal lines in vision. End of bye bye. Great said pressure im eyes 15 & 12. Vision 6/9. Last week doctor said pressure was 13 & 8 and vision 6/6 so I can chose from the 2! Have great day everyone I've still got dialated eyes and halos. It's very hot here.

Hi everyone, Hope it's a good one for everyone.

Well I'm jealous, you all had such a good time without me yesterday .

@maureen5752 , natural blonde when young, bottle for too many years to count. Had long hair most of the time from mid-teen onwards. Last year I stopped colouring because my natural colour was lighter (white) than the rest. Had a brainwave and had hair cut last December above my shoulders too short to tie back or put up. Regretted it within 5 minutes and had a good hissy fit about it . Nice n easy is now my best friend again since last month and can now at least get hair up (with stragglers) and out of my way.
I'm 5' 2" tall and definitely under-height for my weight, but working hard to change that. I'll be 65, so older than you, in October and (like most of us) still waiting to grow up. I avoid cameras like the plague, have some old pics and may try and post 1 or 2 on my profile page, if allowed & I can work out how to do it.
Hubby was fair, not a lot of hair left to talk about, clean-shaven. Daughter & son both natural blondes, son a lot lighter than daughter, much to her disgust, so she does have highlights put in her long hair. Both clean-shaven.

Sounds like early part of your txt is very similar to me, I've also regretted having my hair cut yesterday! You sound lovely anyway & that's the main thing. Bright & bubbly, we can always have a rematch of last night, I'm still waiting to see if it's Steve McQueen or George clooney!!!! I use nice & easy natural honey blonde 8g. Great colour, l need a little helping hand also. Ha ha

Had a fish supper from the chippy for dinner as my monthly treat. Still sunny and was soaking up the rays earlier for an hour. It reached 25°C at 4pm. Been having a lot of problems logging on for ages. There are quite a lot of gremlins on DCUK lately, the "diabetes destroyer" pop ups, the app problems and people not being able to log in or getting logged off for unknown reasons. I hope the site is not being hacked and our personal data is safe.

Watching Once Upon a Time on Netflix, my sister recommended it to me. It's a fantasy/fairy tales drama for grown ups. I didn't fancy it and am on season 2 of which there are 5. Really enjoying it so far.

My sister and me (blonde) taken when I was in my mid-20's.
The reason it is 'odd' around the edges is because it was a key-ring photo that had really started to shrivel around the edges. My kids wanted to save it so they removed it from key-ring and saved it on my pc.

Just to add, I look nothing like this now.
