Type 2 Life

Well done on your numbers @debrasue

After my telling off I disappeared for a while, but I missed you all so I'm back! Week 6 of my diabetic self management course today - the negative folks have dropped out, just positive people for the last few weeks. Tutor said I'm a model diabetic patient so feeling chuffed at that. Also have to make a cake for our last session next week!

Dietician said type 2 not on insulin shouldn't test themselves, boy that was an interesting convo. Tutor didn't agree thankfully. I shared info on SD monitor, dirty looks from dietician :)

Otherwise 5.5 FBG this morning so a happy chap. BG been in the 5s and no overrun from a camping weekend away. Back swimming after a few days off. Feeling good and kicking this darn diabetes into touch :)
Thanks Penfold!
I'm so glad you're back - I missed your upbeat outlook and your positivity, not to mention your sense of humour. I'm chuckling over you locking horns with the dietician. :p
What cake are you going to make?
Hugs x

Ah thanks @ickihun and @debrasue ... It's nice to feel loved, group hug? Still working on the cakes - it's going to be a Bake off style presentation :)

Really love this forum so decided I couldn't leave - everyone here has helped me so much, thank you!

Will phone up for my blood tests results tomorrow and ask about my HbA1c which was one of them. Here's hoping. ;)

@PenfoldAPD - You might like to read the posting on fasting blood sugar thread by Osidge this evening.:) Ignore this, Hiitsme has already alerted you.

@PenfoldAPD have you seen.......

Dear all

My apologies to those of you whose posts I have edited recently to maintain the integrity of this particular thread. Following the intervention of a couple of members with the Administrator of the forum, it has now been decided that if you want to post more information than just your FBG reading then that is fine. My apologies also if you feel as if I was "policing" you. My intention was never that as you are all valued members of the forum and I have always had the wellbeing of the forum at heart.

Regards

Doug

It's horrible down here. It's cold (18 degrees), grey, and has been raining all day so far. The forecast is the same for the whole week.
BBQ's going onto eBay.....
:sour:

18C is a baking hot day in Orkney. Today it was only 8C It's times like this I wonder why I moved here nearly 39 yrs ago!

Much much better @debrasue thankyou.
I realised I was making too much fuss on a cold when others have much more serious problems. There are some absolute soldiers on here. I'm just a wuss. Ha ha

Vicky, You are NOT a Wuss at all. :) William xx
