Ah thanks @ickihun and @debrasue ... It's nice to feel loved, group hug? Still working on the cakes - it's going to be a Bake off style presentation :)

Good morning all! A positive 5.3 on the FBG scale today, and 72.0 kg - lowest ever :) goal is 70kg which will be around 10 kgs down. So a good start to Thursday.

Off to swim now then home for a Full English LCHF of course ;) have a great day friends!

Morning PEnfoldAPD, one and all. Lovely mild morning here in Cambridge. Nice run first thing, strong black coffee with cream and pleased with a BG of 4.7 this morning. Have a great day whatever you're doing.

Congrats on the wait drop - 10kg is great. Must feel encouraging now you're within touching distance of your target.

Thanks @KevinPotts the funny thing is, I'd obviously never wanted to get type II diabetes but it feels like it's changed my life, and honestly in a good way (well most of the time). I was always carrying a bit of extra weight .. "that diet will start next week" I told myself - but the wake up call has made me focus on myself, improve my diet, make exercise a priority - and be more energised.

I've also met many many lovely people here!

Agree x 1000! I can't believe how much I've achieved with the help of everyone on this forum, I count you all as my friends. I'm always telling my mum about what my forum friends are up to and she really appreciates the knowledge I've gained. She also appreciates being the guinea pig for my low carb baking :)

Morning all, hope everyone's well. Bg 6.4 this morning. Don't know what's going on had bad pain in my left side for months, neck arm shoulder blade, doctor tested months ago for somat but wasn't that & that was it but it's agony past few days, recently you were talking about people not considering your diet when with friends or family, well my daughter asked if I'm busy next Saturday, said will pick me up at 12 noon, won't say anythink, it's a surprise that's all I know!!!! but asked what food can I eat, said food will be there but want to arrange foods that are suitable for me to eat, how kind & thoughtful! As I said before I'm lucky I have a very loving daughter. Getting eyes tested today, well maybe see what optician decides, had letter from eye hospital yesterday, had vitrious detachment it says. Good health to you all

Hi all,

Been a wee bit quiet recently but we have rather a lot going on.

Husband has had a Prostate scare with high Blood tests so he has an MRI booked for tomorrow and then a biopsy booked for next Tuesday and me not wanting to feel left out! managed to find a lump in my breast last Wednesday and have an appointment at the breast clinic tomorrow morning!

Tomorrow is going to be such fun me at the breast clinic at 10am and Husband in for an MRI at 5pm......I think I will take a packed lunch and we will stay put and picnic!

Feeling like someone is giving us one hell of a test of strength at the moment!

Sending you massive hugs Lindy - hope you both get the best possible news. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow xx

Big hugs and love @Lindy1706 sorry to hear both you and your husband are going through it - will be thinking of you, stay positive (easier said than done I know). Let us know how you get on - and take those LCHF snacks to the hospital!

So in the last 4 months I've got my BG under control (I think) and my cholesterol is under control - but my last BP was 159/97 so worrying. But today I went to the surgery and did 3 readings, average is 116/73 .. so I guess I should be pleased and all that trawling up and down the pool must be worth it?

Yay, well done! That's a brilliant reduction

I feel entirely the same PenFoldAPD!! Once I got over the shock of a T2 diagnosis, my life began to change, permanently and for the better. I feel healthier than I've felt since my 20s.

Hey, my good friends!

I went to my self-management for people with long term health conditions group this morning. It was really awesome.

My blood sugar this afternoon was 6.5.

Lovely Avatar Photo @debrasue :)
Awww, thank you William. :shy: You're sharp! I only put it on a few moments ago; I thought it was about time as you all seem to be updating yours.
I'm supposed to be working this afternoon, but the proofreading's a bit boring so I thought I'd have a bit of a skive.
It's getting colder here. Typical! Gearing up for a cr*ppy weekend, then. :grumpy:
How are you doing? Been up to anything exciting?
