Type 2 Life

Good morning, my lovely, kind friends,

|I feel a lot better today. It's occurred to me that the sores in my mouth are scalds from where an acquaintance, Matthew, gave me a mug of Lemsip with boiling water from the kettle without putting any cold water in it and due to my autistic sensory sensitivity I didn't know how scalding it was and gulped it down. This resulted in parts of my mouth being scalded/burnt. This morning I have had 1 choc ice and one strawberry and vanilla Cornetto ice cream. My blood glucose level was 10.6 mmol, a bit high.

Arrr johnny. Oppo ice cream from waitrose or holland & barrett will allow the luxury of ice cream without the huge spike. Only if you make it last, of course. Give it a go. Your sugar is going to be difficult to manage for a few days now?

Hello @ickihun I saw your post on the morning blood sugar thread and came over here to hope you had decided to go to the walk in centre. If you phone 111 can't they make an appointment there for you? Monday is a long time when if effects your breathing. Take care. Wishing you well
111 are told to send ambulance on breathing difficulties after suspected heart attack. Not going to hospital when all I need is antibiotics. If it gets worse I'll call 111. Especially if I get heavy chest pain. Im happy to wait til monday morning if I can recoup my sleep before then. No pain in chest so happy to wait for ct scan etc. Thanks @mo53 . I only found out from last week hospital stay. Im sure I can do this. Any chest pain I'll not hesitate but call 111/999.

Morning Folks. :).
GP said I could take a double dose of Morphine if needed. So at 1am this morning I took it and Pregabalin and a Diazepam and I slept 3 hours longer till 8am. But, I feel really Blah! And nauseous this morning. I will probably go back to bed at some point this morning. I did remember to take my Insulin today. In a 7 day period I have forgotten to take Insulin on 2 days, but put that down to having a 'foggyness' or to be honest = lost the plot!!!!:D

Hope to catch up later. Put yourself first, for a change. Sweet dreams. ♡♥♡

I need to take some very very sound advice. STOP READING.
I'm going to drive myself mad reading about my ecg findings and possible diagnosises after scans in december. I love reading. I'm facinated about heart problems now. I think I get diabetes but as its hit a brick wall and restricted by close minded, pompus gits, at times. I will concentrate on HD and associated conditions. I would have been up for researching law but due to restraints I'll do some different reading.
Maybe I need some fictional novels to distract me. Can anyone recommend any decent thrillers and authors?

Up through the night. Sugar is 14.2 as forgot insulin with evening meal then crashed out. Little one is livelier than normal, after all Santa is coming! He's been busy at nursery. He gets his sniff sniff flu inoculation today. That should be interesting. He doesn't blow his nose yet so as of sniffing up, I doubt he will. We'll see.
Been on Uk night owl thread but feel very lonely there. :(
I hope @eldergarth and @tina_marie the best of luck with their changes and wishes for the future. Its never easy. Is it?

I won't pretend to know how hard it is. Try and keep your eye on the new goal (new correct med). Distract yourself asmuch as possible and maybe time will fly. I hope so mate. You can do this! Use and abuse scream thread. They're great support too.
Blo*dy idiot who messed you about. I could strangle them. Honestly! :banghead:

The only thing bothering me is will be pain killer free for a while getting of the old meds then building up the new one into my system hoping being a patch will build up quicker and have a quicker build up time

You might be surprised and notice they weren't doing much after all. Especially if there are the wrong ones! Take one day at a time hun.
I'm awake again, woke up fully congested again.
I was reading a thread last night about how important vit c is. Are you having plenty?

I take extra supplements Vicky as well as cod liver oil that's mainly for the arthritis

I don't know if I have arthritis in pelvis or not. I'm awaiting MSK unit to assess me. Apparently 76 days wait in Sunderland.

We must not ever forget our partners = Vicky's Partner, my Hubby and of course Ron's lovely 'cup cake baker' Wife = @tina_marie :) these people are 'our rocks' and normally don't receive the recognition that they so well deserve :). William x
A very good point Liam1955. The woman I love is my wife - the other half of me - much more than a "partner". Without my wife I would probably dead a long time ago. I try to tell here 3 times every day how much I love her and try to find reasons to complement her. She is a real treasure. 24 years married and they have been the happiest days of my life.

Liam you are right. We must not forget the one we are married to - they keep us "together" through good times and bad. Thank you for that post.

Good Morning, my good, fine friends on the www.diabetes.co.uk Type 2 Life part of the Forum,

I haven't been one hundred per cent in the last few days although I have shaken off my urinary tract infection for which I completed the course of antibiotics. I now have a mouthful of very sore, pervasive mouth ulcers which cause me great discomfort, pain even, when eating and masticating my food. A close Christian friend ran me to the King's College Dental Hospital in his motor car and the dentist said, upon examination, there were a lot of bitemarks and very traumatic burns on the insides of my cheeks, from the first part of this observation meant I was biting my cheeks in my sleep and the second part of this evaluation was eating scalding hot food and not giving it sufficient chance to "stand" or to "cool down". I can only put this down to the sensory sensitivity in my Asperger Syndrome, a condition that although does describe some of the nice, caring attributes that people say I have but also causes me immense suffering. The Dentist at the King's College Dental Hospital wrote a letter to my GP describing my predicament with my teeth and gums and made a request to her to refer me for special care dentistry in the form of a full scale assessment and treatment procedure at this hospital.

My fasting blood glucose reading this morning, today, Friday 2nd December, 2016, at 8:33 Ante Meridian was 7.0 Millimoles Per Litres, after drinking a cup of coffee with 1 x 5 ml spoonful of Sainsbury's Rich Roast Coffee Granules, a dash of milk and 3 Sainsbury's Artificial Sweetener tablets.

Have a lovely day, my friends.

Love from Johnny Baker (@autisticwonder1970 ), a person with Asperger Syndrome and type 2 diabetes mellitus (insulin-resistant).
