Type 2 Life

At a little past eight thirty ante meridian british summer time on thursday 8th august 2019 anno domini my blood sugar was 18.5 mmol.

How are you @JohnnyBaker87?

I weighed this morning at same weight I was before kids and partner. I used to use a running machine. A load of stress and sweat.
Maybe I'm losing muscle as well as fat. Sooo delighted about losing again.

Seeing diabesity specialist in September for a weigh-in and insulin need.
Soooo nice to hv positive things about my weight, for a change.

The social services have requested a reassessment of my needs. I've been allocated a social worker to do this. I might not be moving to Celestine's Shared Lives Scheme placement. It'll more than likely be a community sheltered housing flat for people with autism and Asperger Syndrome. My needs have deteriorated rapidly due to my ASD in the last few months. Celestine hasn't got the experience nor the resources to adequately care for me. I've also got my initial appointment at the diabetes clinic this morning.

How did your appointments go @JohnnyBaker87?

I'm in London in next few days. I'll give you a wave if I pass your area.
You hv our support here. You will get what your health needs mate. In those communities you can meet some like minded friends who really know how it is for you. Being isolated where you are or with a family hub may not really make you relaxed and happy.
We all are wishing only the very best for you.
I will still be on-line whilst travelling. I'm having a break from little one and his intense needs.

Off to the hospital Thursday afternoon with Ron, to see if their rehabilitation specialist can help Ron . Not expecting anything new to come out of this but I suppose we can always hope . Hospital transport has been booked due to the time of the appointment being an hour before Ron usually ends up in bed . Not that he’s sleeping . His legs get very tired just walking down the garden path . Along with that comes extreme pain and shortness of breath.

I got my diabetes community clinic results yesterday. My blood pressure was 127/72, my HbA1c was 71, my cholesterol was 3.5, my weight was 90.2 kg, my BMI is 31.7, and there was a trace of proteins in my urine. It also put down I've got Schizophrenia as well as Asperger Syndrome.

We all hv labels put on us @JohnnyBaker87 but all that is important is we are supported when we need to be.
Very good blood pressure and cholesterol. Has 71 hba1c increased from last one?
Keep posting your bgs here. We are listening.

How are you today @JohnnyBaker87?
I am going to have my nurse at my GP administer my weekly diaglutide injection every friday owing to my incapacity in doing it properly. Diaglutide is for uncontrolled diabetes.

71 is greatly increased and quite dangerous, @ickihun, my dear friend.

My blood glucose level is 15.3 today after eating a fried breakfast in the cafe this morning

Fried breakfast is OK but avoid toast and hash browns. I love beans sauce but some hv sugar added. Beans are a carbohydrate too.
Hv more bacon or good sausages but eggs are fantastic for breakfast @JohnnyBaker87.

Sooooo upset I've found out my specialist is having 2yrs out to do something exciting abroad.
I'm very very sad but delighted for him. :bigtears:

My blood glucose was a very healthy 7.6 mmol this morning thanks to my weekly Diuglatide 1.5 mg injection.

Toast is a no-no for me. I ate a bowl of fresh blackberries with plain yoghurt yesterday. That would be better than toast and hash browns and beans.

So far today I've eaten a cheese, cucumber and pickle baguette and two manky out of date reduced item sausage rolls

Received a great letter from new diabetes consultant and my new hba1c is 53. I'm delighted as I had some fbg of 16s leading up to op date due to milkshakes and liver shrinking diet.
He also states good blood pressure so no med change other than trying regular metformin again. And so far on 1x500mg I'm Ok.
Still losing weight. :) :) :)
