UPDATE: No:1

End of month one of TDR feeling great 18.6Kgs down after cutting out all rubbish at the end of Jan before starting TDR. On down fall wallet is screaming, had to buy new clothes as everything hanging like a sack of spuds .

This months menu:
Breakfast mango shake and fibre supplement

Mid morning snack vanilla shake with added cinnamon and nutmeg tastes like Christmas. Also add some orange essence now and then stops them getting boring.

Lunch chicken soup, also started adding herbs and spices to stop the bordo ~ Chinese five spice, garlic granules, onion granules etc.

Evening meal banana shake and fibre supplement

2L - 3L of water per day 2L min

Walking more due to work now being a much larger site averaging between 10k and 25k steps per day, feeling great, more energy less fatigue and looking forward to food again in a balanced way of course.

Not going to lie and says it’s easy because it’s not just have to keep up the motivation and moral and push through the bad days, helps that I can chew sugar free gum as started to miss the sensation of chewing and I have a treat of one Pepsi Max caffeine free at the end of the day as treat.

here if anyone wants a chat.

This looks amazing. I can't eat fats because of my cholesterol.

Breakfast: All-Bran and milk
Lunch: predicted cheese and salad on wholemeal
Dinner: not decided yet, something based on beans with salad in a wholemeal wrap

My BG would be sky high if I ate that many carbs. I love porridge but sadly daren't risk it anymore :arghh:
I eat pulses of all kinds, wholegrains and unrefined stuff. It's probably wrong, but provided I don't eat too much I might be ok. I got chromohaematosis (Celtic Disease) and that is why I am a type2 like the rest of my family, so that means you are meant to live on a diet of fish, grain and spinach; and stay off the drink. ‍ I have to have chips with fish

Peanut butter & cheese whole grain crackers, coffee for breakfast.

Cabbage, potatoes, ham steak, and mandarin orange for lunch.

Haven't decided for supper yet.

Fried eggs

Frittata made with veg that needed using - chinese leaf, spring onions, red and green peppers, leeks - frikadellen (german meatballs) and gherkins.

Eggs and bacon, and some yogurt. A few spoon-fulls of peanut butter.

I take 1000 mg metformin twice daily, and 40 mg atorvastatin once, plus an assortment of vitamins and supplements. Shortly after starting on my diet and meds, I lost considerable weight, and my cholesterol dropped to the lowest my doctor had ever seen (fastest drop, too). He subsequently told me to increase my cholesterol, particularly the "good" cholesterol, and add some fish oil supplements, which I take.

No bread, potato, rice, or other carbs, No sugars, very limited amounts of fruits (occasional apple, some watermelon, etc). Occasional banana. We do cauliflower instead of potato now, and other substitutes.

I've had a cup of tea (no sugar)
BelVita Breakfast Biscuits Milk & Cereals

For lunch, I'll be having some Greek yoghurt with some flax seed on top!

For the evening, not too sure.

Share what you've eaten today with the rest of the DCUK community and maybe steal a few ideas for yourself!

Low carb contributions are of course welcomed, but please keep in mind that this is not the low carb diet section, and debates about diet should be kept out of this thread. Happy posting! ;)
Zero food for 24hrs.
