    Morning meal, hogget cutlets (a hogget is a well grown lamb) an apple off my own tree - the serpent beguiled me and I did eat.
    Evening meal turkey and green beans.

    L: Hamburger patty with grilled onions, green beans cooked with bacon, mashed potatoes and gravy, 1 yeast roll, 1 cup coffee with 2 coffeemate creamer
    D: 1/2 hamburger patty, grilled onions, half a cup of green beans boiled with salt, 6 oz 2% milk, 1 oatmeal raisin cookie
    End of day BG: 94
    1 slice Heathnut toast with peanut butter and apple butter

    first thing, walnuts
    morning meal three boiled eggs, half a tomato and green salad Olive oil and vinegar dressing
    A cup of coffee
    evening meal shrimps and green salad olive oil and vinegar dressing.
    My lists seem ever so simple.
    I have been doing low carb for a very long time - and I am at very low levels - about 15 gm a day maybe Previously unknown territory for me, but I am going to push myself into ketosis and remain there for as long as it takes to restore normality.

    D:Buffalo chicken pizza with very thin crust (45 carb, 525 calories), 6 ounces 2% milk ( 8 carb, 90 calories)
    Daily totals: ( 109 carb, 1485 pizza calories)
    End of day BG 185:(

    It occurs to me that I did not eat any veggies today-that is unusual for me.

    morning meal - Dr Atkins revenge - bacon and eggs
    a cup of coffee and a slender slice of melon after an afternoon walk
    evening meal beefburgers and mixed vegetables

    L: Strata, 2 servings with egg, ham, onions, mozzarella cheese, hash browns, broccoli and a splash of milk, topped with fresh grated Parmesan, 6 ounces orange-tangerine juice, water
    Dinner: 2 McDonald's $1.00 cheeseburgers, coffee with % milk, 1/2 c. green beans
    Snack: 1/2 green apple sliced, water

    End of day BG: 100

    L: Left over strata-1 serving egg, ham, onions, mozzarella cheese, hash browns, broccoli and a splash of milk, topped with fresh grated Parmesan, 6 ounces orange-tangerine juice, water
    D: Stew made from left over roast and add ins-meat, 4 small red potatoes, 2 zucchini, 1/2 cup small carrots, 1 can green beans, 1 bay leaf, can of Italian seasoned stewed tomatoes, 1/2 yellow onion-total stewed for 6 hours at low heat, Sprinkled with fresh Parmesan before serving, 10 ounces 2% milk.
    [Yea!-My stove is in full working order again. I have started cooking, after mom goes to sleep ,for the next day.]
    Snack: 2 buttermilk biscuits with butter and apple butter, water
    End of day BG: 155

    Breakfast one sausage one bacon scrambled egg tinned tomatoes.
    Lunch chicken wrap with peppers
    Tea 2 slices beef 4 sticks celery about 20 green olives half a lettuce tbs mayo
    And there's a blue riband wafer waiting in the naughty cupboard for supper

    Snack: cereal bar, 8 ounces 2% milk
    L: half a Cheese sandwich, half a Fuji apple, water
    D: Chicken taco, spinach enchilada, cheese enchilada, sour cream sauce, beans, rice, salsa, chips, coffee with creamer, two chocolate chip cookies (dinner out- later, more food and more carbs than usual)

    End of day BG: 238 (Obviously the choices I thought would be okay for dinner out were not)

    L: 6 Triscuits rosemary and olive oil flavor, 1 tablespoon of cheddar cheese spread, half a Fuji apple, water
    D: last of leftover beef stew, half a whole wheat bun toasted with butter, water
    Snack: Apple pie, 1/2 c. oat-bran and sesame sticks, 6 ounces 2% milk, 1 ounce colby cheese (mini binge)
    (I think I would have had fewer carbs if I had eaten the spaghetti I wanted-stressful day-car wreck right by my house and this is anniversary of my father's death)

    End of day BG: 144

    D: Lean Cuisine Tortilla crusted Tilapia (fish) with rice and veggies (41 carb, 300 cal ), 6 ounces 2% milk (10 carb, 98 cal )
    Daily Totals: ( 103 carb, 950 cal )
    End of day BG: 186 (forgot to take my metformin with dinner, and too many carbs in dinner, and dinner later than usual)
    Goal for tomorrow-do better with dinner planning!

    S: 1/4 c. mixed Sunflower seeds, almonds, cashews and a few dried cranberries ( 12 carb, 140 cal ) ,6 ounces 2% milk (10 carb, 98 cal )
    D: KFC chicken breast and 1/2 thigh (18 carb, 450 cal ), 1/2 serving coleslaw ( 12 carb, 85 cal), 1/3 of serving of mashed potatoes and gravy (15 carb, 60 cal ), 1 bite biscuit (5 carbs, 20 cal), 6 ounces 2% milk (10 carb, 98 cal )
    Daily Totals: (172 carb, 1873 cal ) About 2 days worth of carbs and calories.
    End of day BG: 138
    (I did a lot of errands today but I have no explanation really why this is not higher-unless I have overestimated the number of carbs and calories I ate-which would be wonderful in this case because I do not bolus)

    B. Scrambled eggs with bacon and chives

    L. Chicken casserole, salad

    D. Low-carb cheesy pasta with veg; three homemade seed crackers with butter.

    Blood sugars all day were around 6.2, with 7.2 an hour after lunch and 5.8 two hours later. After dinner 7.4 (1 hour) and 5.6 (2 hours).
