Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

Breakfast nil
Lunch: 3 egg omlette with peas, spinach and some fried mushrooms. Cooked in coconut oil. Adapted from Dr Mosley's recipe.
Evening meal: who knows! Going out for our wedding anniversary meal, but promise NOT to have any of the wonderful puddings. Although after 38 yrs I think I deserve some nice pudding :P

B: Banana chia pudding, 2 boiled eggs, milky coffee

L: Prawn & marie rose sauce butty on wholemeal, 4 chips and salad (in local pub with friends), coke zero.

T: Tesco lightly battered cod, sweet potato chips & peas, coffee.

Saw diabetes nurse today for routine appt. HbA1c is 48, foot check done & all good, lost 3kg. She is happy with my diabetes control and told me to carry on with what I'm doing diet wise, so I'm a happy bunny tonight
 
This morning my favourite cafe did not have muesli so I had two slices of toast with jam

Lunch time morzarella,spinach and tomato soup but no bread

Evening chicken chipolata, kidney, bacon and tomato andcat little job of cheese as I was hungry.

Worked out well as my ketones were 5. So really pleased.x

D = 4 roast belly pork slices, 2 roast tomatoes, 6 medium mushrooms, 3 eggs cooked in with the belly pork during the last few minutes of cooking and half a bag of salad leafs.
3 mugs of fresh coffee during day and 3 glasses of red wine during evening.

T: Home made bolognese, wholewheat pasta, 3 glasses red wine (wine Wednesday)

Oats with blueberries and half a banana.
Coffee (naughty)
Cannot walk yet as recoup from surgery last friday. But making fresh stevia syrup as i grow it. Do not like the ones in store
 
Brekkie . 2 livlife with cheddar . Double cream coffee
Lunch : 2breast chicken 3 lumps cheese
Dinner , 2 6 oz burgers 3 rashers , 2 eggs bottle of Coke Zero , coffee and double cream
Supper . Creamy coffee and livlife sandwich cheddar

D = 250g French air dried sausage, 50g green olives, 100g cheddar, bag of salad leafs, 2 tomatoes and 2 small onions sliced, with mayonnaise.
3 mugs of freshly brewed coffee during day and 4 large glasses of red wine during the evening.
4.4mmol at 00:40hrs.

B: 2 small Burgen slices toasted with 1/2 an avocado & 2 poached eggs, a 0% Skyr yogurt. Milky coffee.

L: A small wholegrain roll with tuna pate, berries & a mullerlight yogurt.

T: Tesco Finest lasagne (should have been moussaka but it was substituted). Coffee.
 
Today had three bacon medallions with two fried eggs before breakfast my BG was 7.5. After breakfast was 8.7 I presume that is good only a small jump.

After lunch of two chicken thighs and a red tomato 2 hours after 7.5.
Forcdnner had an oven baked pork loin chops with two dessert spoons of baked beans. Two hours after my reading jumped to 9.3 so just thinking is it the beans that made it higher think it must be.
 
Yesterday I wasn't well so;

Brekkie: 2 ryvita and cheddar , creamy coffee. FBG . 6.1
Lunch : 2 bacon 2 eggs , 1 sausage , mushrooms , black tea .. pre 6.5 post 6.3
Dinner : chicken peri peri with red peppers and garlic : cheese and bacon stuffed mushroom , 2 glasses red wine pre , 5.7 . Post @ 3 hrs 4.2

Low carb contributions are of course welcomed, but please keep in mind that this is not the low carb diet section, and debates about diet should be kept out of this thread. Happy posting! ;)
So far 2 slices of Tesco protein bread with 3 bit of vegetarian bacon, slice of edam, tomato lettuce and mayonnaise. 1 small cheese stuffed chilli pepper.
and I don't feel like eating this evening because I have a stomach upset, but may try something later.
