8.0 this morning (down from high of 13 on Tuesday when I started LCHF). Does warm weather affect BS levels? And, how long should it take for BS to go back to 'normal' levels?

I do hope you have a relaxed time, happy thoughtsI already take a big multi vitamin and omega 3 every day and I'm eating healthier than I have done for 10 years. I know that I'm so much fitter than I was before the my diagnosis - but honestly today it doesn't feel like that. Off to Wales tonight for half term week - so hoping that does me good.
Oh, sorry honey,7.0 today looks like I was wrong I do have a sore throat and the sniffles it's just reared its ugly head overnight![]()

Only in comparison to carbs. If 100g carb then protein should be lower unless your going for a high protein diet. Protein is to maintain your muscles and tendons etc.. If you want to increase mass in the muscle higher protein is advised. Less muscle mass and less weight = less protein. You need enough protein to either maintain what you have or reduce heavy muscle mass which isn't needed. Remember muscles store glucose too not just the liver. Bigger the muscles more glucose stored and then dumped at a later date.
We all just need enough muscle to keep us going, healthily. Some say too high a protein diet risks kidney function. I'm not sure. My kidneys are fine on high protein all my life. Hence big muscles but now covered in fat.
I noticed that as well. Why the sad face? I would be fine with 5.8 every morning.
