Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

4.9 this morning - again managed to squeeze in a walk before the rain arrived.

Met an old friend for coffee yesterday afternoon and against my better judgement I let her talk me into a slice of cake. Took the rest of the day for BG to recover to usual levels. And - I didn't even enjoy it that much - tasted far too sweet. Live and learn.

Polgara, just say no, thank you if you are offered any cake in future. Easier said thank done, right? Anyway, just one bite is fine. Yes, we are learning everyday. Thank God for this forum.

I usually say no thank you - I always find social interactions hard, even with friends, and I think i just said yes this time out of politeness - which is daft, as the friends wouldn't have minded me saying no. We all have our oddities don't we :D

My sense of taste has changed too. A happy lesson to learn, you don't have to "resist" cake in the future. You won't be missing anything.:) A very nice 4.9:happy::happy:

Hubby is always telling me that he finds cake too sweet these days - I've always laughed at him for that - but now I know he's right (again) :D

7.5 @ 6.15am. LCHF and nothing bad yesterday and I went into the 9's all day, so surprised at mid 7 today. Off for my longest shift at work today. Painkillers helping back.

5.2 at 4.30 - the cat got me up and as it was so beautiful I've stayed up and am having coffee now (6:30) in the yard. Yesterday I went to the dentist as I thought I had a gum infection. It was affecting my blood sugars and turned out to be a tiny food remnant wedged between two teeth. I'm now on the micro brushes or interdentals as they call them. It's surprising ( to me at least ) what small things can affect sugars. Anyhow have a great day - I hope the sun shines where you are.

Morning all. 8.2 at 6.55 am, still high despite increased gliclazide. Must be lack of aerobic exercise classes due to back problem as diet not changed. Just got to weather it until I'm fit enough to return!
