Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

A lot of people seem to find that their fasting blood sugar reading is the hardest to get down and often the last to come down. I had difficulty with it for a long time but recently it's been behaving - I usually eat by no later than 7 pm and by bedtime (usually between 11.30 and midnight) it's down to the high 5s or low 6s and in the morning is in the 5s. though I'm still taking a small amount of Levemir at bedtime.

What sort of readings are you getting after your evening meal and before you go to bed?

Thank you for your reply... I have been struggling to get under 9 after my evening meal and before bed it is around 8. I have lost a stone in weight since diagnosis but do need to lose another 2 stone to reach my optimal weight for my height. Perhaps this is what will get those numbers down as it feels depressing starting the day 9 plus. When on metformin the morning BS was about 7.5-8. And evening readings after meal and before bed were never over 8.5. Maybe I need to do a low calorie diet as well as Low carb and shift the last weight I am carrying

5.3 this morning same as 2 hr reading after dinner last night. Seeing as dinner featured some roast onion and normal flour in the gravy maybe I should see that as a positive. Only managed to creep over 10500 steps yesterday and worst sleep for a long time so I am guessing that all helped push up this mornings weak effort.
On a positive note, Spurs drew and Philadelphia stomped the Pats plus the £3 Lamb joint was gorgeous! Have stellar days folks.
