Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Hi Alisonjane;)
The diabetic team at the hospital think I am insulin resistant to some level, been hyper for some time now and have been 20+ for the last 3 weeks

In July I was hospitalised my meter had just said 'HI' for a few days (I work at a hospital and for a few days I had felt dizzy when standing up from a sitting position home & work) I was at work tested 'HI' I went to A&E they tested my BM of 59,1 I was admitted straight away was in for 5 days, they got me around 11 or 12 and discharged me

Not been under 10 since

This morning I was 19.8 fasting

Well we have got another gale up here windy as heck and the rain has been on going for the last 6 hours, not what we need right now, floods have caused chaos countywide and Carlisle is one huge mess

Hope everyone is ok on here:D

OMG! 59.1!! You poor thing. It must be really awful seeing those high numbers when you test. But, don't accept it. There MUST be a way forward. Keep on at your specialists. Sustained high numbers cause diabetic complications, and you deserve better. Don't accept second class medical service. It's risks to you, not them, so don't worry about making a fuss. Good luck.

As for the floods. Dreadful!! So sad to see the devastation on the news. Best wishes to all affected. X

Thank you x
I guess we have all had hypos and hypers crazy isn't it

Hi folks. FBG way too low at 3.3 this morning. Plan to increase carbs as my weight loss has improved my insulin resistance. That should rectify things. Too low is pretty unpleasant.

I found my insulin resistance has improved and have also increased my carbs (still avoid potatoes though!) - this morning was 4.8 after 202g of carbs yesterday

6.9 this morning , weird thing is I get up feeling more tired than when i go to bed this has to be diabetes related, I used to jump out of bed ready for the day ahead now am thinking why am I still tired laughs ...have a great day all you lovely peeps:)

5.7....not to shabby....hopefully the anti-sugar fairies will help some more soon - that or the Gliclazide and bitter melon tea!

4.7 :) A Tesco sweet & sour chicken has the same carbs as a slice of 50/50 bread!!

Good morning all
5.2 for me after a massive spike last night of 13.9
I've been low carbs for a couple of weeks and last night with my cheese salad I had a small baked potato, wrong thing to do ☹️
