Hi Alisonjane
The diabetic team at the hospital think I am insulin resistant to some level, been hyper for some time now and have been 20+ for the last 3 weeks
In July I was hospitalised my meter had just said 'HI' for a few days (I work at a hospital and for a few days I had felt dizzy when standing up from a sitting position home & work) I was at work tested 'HI' I went to A&E they tested my BM of 59,1 I was admitted straight away was in for 5 days, they got me around 11 or 12 and discharged me
Not been under 10 since
This morning I was 19.8 fasting
Well we have got another gale up here windy as heck and the rain has been on going for the last 6 hours, not what we need right now, floods have caused chaos countywide and Carlisle is one huge mess
Hope everyone is ok on here
OMG! 59.1!! You poor thing. It must be really awful seeing those high numbers when you test. But, don't accept it. There MUST be a way forward. Keep on at your specialists. Sustained high numbers cause diabetic complications, and you deserve better. Don't accept second class medical service. It's risks to you, not them, so don't worry about making a fuss. Good luck.
As for the floods. Dreadful!! So sad to see the devastation on the news. Best wishes to all affected. X
