Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

9.2 - can't explain it. I was 7.8 before bed!!!!
Your liver dumps glucose into blood through the night. Even none diabetics. But their insulin changes theirs into morning energy.
I woke this morning like a zombie. No energy for me. No matter what I do. (well except inject more insulin).

Me too but I've already investigated my main foods on 2hrs after to see which ones I don't spike with. Mind u only on loads of basal.

I know that bread, rice, pasta and pizza send my readings rocketing so I’m avoiding those (this in a country with so many Italian & Asian restaurants and tasty croissants). Funnily enough, potatoes don’t affect me too much. I can only ‘suffer’ so much rabbit food.

what amount of carbs did you eat yesterday ? how many grams ?
Thanks freema, out and about at the mo but generally I stick to under 50g a day, and the morning ones are between 8.5 and 9.5. My daily average is running at 8.9 at the moment but the meal rises are good at 2 or 3 max. Yesterday was a bust though as hubby did dinner and it was a massive spike but premeal was 5.3, 2hrs post meal 17.1 and then another 2hrs (bedtime) was 6.7.

So glad that there is no pain from your fall. Thats a step in the right direction, hopefully litterally when you get your issues resolved. Your blood sugars are getting better results more frequently now too and that is brilliant. Well done.
Thank you
The only trouble with me, I want things to happen now.
