Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Morning everyone 5.0 today for me which is not great but bearing the "intervening variables" in mind may be good, @Goonergal why the angst it won't affect your amazing longer trends. @ally1 overall numbers are getting lower so listen to what Frankie says:angelic: @JanetMcDowell I hope the McDowellmobile is ok but mostly I am glad its precious cargo was uninjured;)

Thanks freema, out and about at the mo but generally I stick to under 50g a day, and the morning ones are between 8.5 and 9.5. My daily average is running at 8.9 at the moment but the meal rises are good at 2 or 3 max. Yesterday was a bust though as hubby did dinner and it was a massive spike but premeal was 5.3, 2hrs post meal 17.1 and then another 2hrs (bedtime) was 6.7.

Oh , hard to give you any advice then 50 grams of carbs in total for a Day is not that much, but if it is for each meal, I would advice you to go lower , how many grams of carbs was in that meal to spike you that High then ? Maybe you overlook some hidden carbs in your foods

4.9 at 6am. Was expecting it to be higher after my weak moment yesterday. Dropped off at Dobbies for a father's day treat. Cake and a coffee was promised. I wasn't going to partake in the cake part! Then we were told it was buy one scone get one free! DILEMMA!!! A scone was going free!!! I succumbed and had just the bottom half. With only butter and the cream and a smidgen (And I mean the tiniest bit) of jam. Eat to the meter was out the window. My BS went up from 5.2 to 9.4 over the next 3/4 hours. Was it worth it. My mum always used to say a little bit of what you fancy does you good :) that however is maybe why she ended up diabetic!!!
