Good morning all. Weekend is here once again and I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. My fbs is 6.1 this morning after having some home cooked fried rice with kimchi. Probably had too much. Love the kimchi.

Are strips expensive in the UK? In Canada, it is $89.70 for 100 strips.

Good choice. Remember to tick the box to say you are diabetic when you order to get VAT exemption.

I pay £5.98 per tub of 50, by buying 5 or 10 tubs at a time with discount codes for Code Free strips from Home Health. That works out at $20.36 Canadian dollars for 100 strips, so compared to you we get off lightly by the looks of it!

    5.6 at 4:15 am.

A bit of useless info seeing that the price of strips is being discussed, they are $1.30 for a box of 100 with a NDSS card, or $65.00 over the counter here in Australia.

I buy my own. My GP reluctant to fund testing. I use an AccuChek Mobile and get the 50 use cassettes on Ebay for about £14.

I saw the price on the Aacu Check Mobile box £9.99 when my DN gave it to me. The cassets cost under £15.00 to replace.
