Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

This morning I did two readings as the 1st was a bit of shocker. 9.4 mM first reading, so did another one from a different finger - 7.8 mM.

Then walked to work (about 100 min) after a breakfast of porridge in semi-skimmed milk. 2 hours after eating. 7.6 mM.
This is only my second day of dealing with this (diagnosed only on Monday this week).... need to bring all these readings down but the final one is encouraging at least.
 
Been doing my blood glucose every morning before eating anything. On Jun 6th I was 7.8
By the start of this week, I was down to 6.5, and then this morning was very pleasantly surprised to be 5.6
I know it will fluctuate, but its great to see such a downward trend
