Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

8.8 at 10am and I'm happy with this

7.0 this morning. (Woke up in the middle of the night, 03:00AM. Blood glucose 6.8. Was a bit hungry and had a small meal before I was able to sleep again).

6.4 at 9am.

Was still a bit high during the day yesterday and then down again to 5.7 late evening.

My finger's still strapped up for the most part, but can stay straighter and flex a bit now.

@ickihun when you say supper how late do you eat? I normally stop eating around 8pm.....Should I be maybe having a protein snack later before bed?

I go to bed late and early rise with toddler.
I eat about 6-7 then cheese or nuts with my p.m injection. Just a handful or small cubes (6).
Sometimes I forget if overtired. I'm not perfect. :-(
My 6o'clock meal is low carb and 10-11pm is protein.

Unusually, i woke up in the night so tested at 4am and it was 6.4. Went back to sleep, woke up at 8 and tested at 8.30 when it was 7.4.

@PenfoldAPD an hour later? Most likely your fbg could have shown an lower bg if you'd tested immediately?
I wouldn't worry about your 6. If you test when you wake it's a truer result. If you didn't eat in that hour liver ups your bg level to cope with movement after your fast.
I think a 6 is still excellent for us insulin resistant suffers. If left unmanaged I'm in my 20s.

Thanks @ickihun I did think the delay in testing may have caused rise. Wanted to go back to sleep but in the end got up and then tested. I'll be happy with my 6

A happy 5.5 at 6am this morning. Had a semi-early night so up with the larks!
I've been having tiny amounts of fragments left from easter eggs and no spikes. Tiny it is then. Mind u not much choice in this house. My chocolate decimators!
