Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.5 at 2am Why was I up at 2am? Because I went to a new cafe in a village near us with a friend. Reserved a table with my bag (outside in the warm sun) and turned round and took a couple of steps and fell over the very low wall, landing on a concrete surface about a couple of feet or so lower than the top of the wall - left hip badly bruised, left elbow cut and bruised, but the very worse my face then hit the ground with a good thud. So I am sporting a wonderful swollen nose, black and blue around the eyes and down my face. This morning every joint aches, I feel like I've fallen over a wall and hit the concrete:blackeye: Local Dr called to scene (me sitting next to a puddle of blood!) then friend took me to A&E for x-ray of face, they wouldn't x-ray even though local Dr phoned to request it. Nurse who was at next table to me (very handy) gave first aid and said she thought nose was broken. Got to wait until swelling goes down to see if it is. Today can only get better :)
Not eaten yet (almost 11.30am) and BS 7.5

Oh, Beryl - you poor thing, that's terrible! I hope you're not in a lot of pain... A similar thing happened to someone I know (although it has to be said, she was somewhat 'under the influence' at the time) but she made a claim for compensation against the venue and they paid a reasonable settlement rather than have it go to court. It certainly seems as if the low wall is a hazard, especially if customers' attention is not drawn to it in any way.
Hugs x
